Caroline applied for Miss Mystic Falls for Rebekah, and then told her but not her brothers. So Rebekah and Caroline were preparing for Miss Mystic Falls. That was when Kol and Klaus decided to follow Caroline and Rebekah to the Lockwood mansion where they were setting up for Miss Mystic Falls. "Please tell me that you did not let Rebekah apply for the pagant," Kol says, coming up behind Caroline. "No, I applied for her," Caroline says. "And it is too late to back out," she adds. "So, you are my date," Caroline says. "Your date," Kol asks. "Yes," she says. "Black tie optional, and be here by 2," Caroline says.
"Nothing like telling someone that they are going to be her date," Kol says.
Kol Mikaelson walked through the back door of the Lockwood mansion in a crisp suit. He was watching Caroline flit around the backyard and he smiled. She did not know about the promise ring in his pocket, he was planning on promising eternity with the blonde. He stepped out into the backyard as Caroline mounted the stage to announce each contestant's name. "Rebekah Mikaelson escorted by Tyler Lockwood," Caroline announces. "Ten says that she wins," Klaus says coming up to stand next to Kol. "Twenty says that she compels herself the crown," he says.
"I hate both of you," Rebekah exclaims. "Darling, you may hate us but deep down you know we are right," Kol says.
Caroline bounces over to Kol as the first dance begins. "Hello, darling," he says. "Hi, it's good for you to be here for your sister," Caroline says. "That would be true, if I was here for my sister," Kol deadpans. "You should be here for your sister," Caroline says. "Well, trust me, I am here for you," Kol says. Caroline laughs, "So, you are here for me," Caroline says. "Yes," Kol says. "And I have this for you," Kol says, as he pulls out the ring box. Caroline plucks it out of his hand, "What is this," Caroline asks. "It's my promise to you," Kol says. Caroline opens the box, and a diamond encrusted infinity symbol. "We are vampires, darling and we get to live forever," Kol says. "And I want you to stand by my side forever," Kol says. Caroline takes the ring out of its box and slides it onto her finger.
"Eternity is a long time," Kol says. "And you just promised it to me," Caroline says.
"Caroline," Mayor Lockwood calls. Kol and Caroline turn to her, "It's time to announce the winner," she says. Caroline smiles and nods, Caroline heads back to the stage. "We find out who wins the bet in about thirty seconds," Klaus says. "And this year's Miss Mystic Falls is Rebekah Mikaelson," Caroline announces. Rebekah steps forward and the crown is put on her head. Kol takes out ten dollars and hands it over to his brother.
"You two are awful," Rebekah and Caroline say in unison. Klaus and Kol exchange a look, "Yeah, we don't really care," Rebekah's brothers say in unison.
