"Yes!" Sirius said with more enthusiasm than Remus had ever heard him use before.

"Oh Merlin! Yes, yes, yes, YES!" The raven haired boy pulled Remus up and embraced him strongly, squeezing as hard a possible.

When he finally let go he kissed Remus with a burning passion.

"Of course it won't happen until we are out of school, but for now, because of the war, I think it's time." Remus smiled at Sirius softly, he could look at him all day and his love would only grow stronger.

Sirius nodded excitedly and hugged him once more. "Just think of it Moony, there will be lights and cake and dancing and me and you and- AGH!" He shrieked. "I love you, I love you, I love you!"

"I love you too, Pads, more than you could ever begin to fathom." Remus stroked his hair gently, and planted a kiss on his head.

Remus and Sirius were to get married as soon as possible once they left school. There would not be much waiting to do, and the planning wouldn't be all that difficult with Mary, Marlene, and Lily around.

Sirius was obviously going to pick James for his best man, no doubt. Sirius had always spoke of a quiet wedding on a hill, none of his family members, just his friends.

He wanted a large cake decorated precisely, and fairly lights strung across a white canopy. He'd wanted plenty of room to dance, with white flowers everywhere.

Remus wanted to give him all of that and more. He loved his fiance with his entire heart and soul, and had decided to propose in their dorm that afternoon because the time presented itself just right. They'd been simply talking when Remus decided to ask.

He'd gotten the ring, one Sirius had told him he liked before, and bought it in Hogsmeade from the jeweler.

"Wait!" Sirius exclaimed suddenly, "How are we going to tell everyone else..?"

Remus had not thought of the process in telling everyone they intended to get married. He hardly even thought over proposing in the first place, it had just felt right.

There was always the small chance the others would be angry at them for doing so at such a young age, even though it was more likely they'd be happy.

"I'm not sure, but if they don't support us then that's their problem, and we won't change for them." He cooed, trying to sound as confident as possible.

Sirius had made the decision to tell the others right away, he was excited to tell James the news.

When they went down to the common room they found them sprawled out on the couch, sinking deeper into the mud of boredom. Peter only looked up when they finally reached the cluster of furniture they had embedded themselves into.

"Hey, mate, what's up?" At his words the others looked up, Marlene casting them a half smile.

"We have something to announce." Sirius tensed his shoulders and smiled, gripping Remus' hand for comfort. That had caught their attention and they seemed to be waiting for a continuation.

"Go on.." Lily encouraged.

"Remus and I.." Sirius began, glancing up at him for reassurance, "we're getting married!"

"WHAT?!" James shrieked and bolted up. His eyes darted to both of them quickly.

"Congratulations my loves!" Lily smiled, eyes twinkling with the satisfaction of a favorite couple getting together officially.

"We're so proud of you!" Mary matched Lily's sweet tone and grin.

"SIRIUS YOU AND I WERE SUPPOSED TO PROPOSE TOGETHER!" James shouted, not a trace of real anger in his words, though instead humor.

"IM SORRY -AGH!" Sirius sprinted away from
James, who had lunged at him in a tackle attempt.

The two boys ran around until Sirius eventually led them out of the common room and down the corridor. They ran as though they were eleven years old once more, and had only just escape the piercing gaze of McGonagall nearly catching them after a prank.

They ran and the faster they went the worries of war flew past their still young minds and blew with the wind behind them. They ran like there was no problems in the world.

"MOONY PROPOSED-" He was shouting as he turned a corner, just hardly a foot out of the grasp of the messy haired boy, "MOONY PROPOSED, NOT ME!"

"BUT YOU -SAID -YES-" James huffed down the stairs, going two at a time in attempt to grab Sirius' collar. They were laughing their lungs silly and grinning widely.

"Somebody help!" Sirius tried to shout, though no one was nearby other than his pursuer. He galloped down the last flight of stairs and launched himself into another hall.

"GET BACK HERE BLACK-" James reconsidered his statement, "OR SHOULD I SAY, LUPIN!"

Sirius stopped dead in his tracks, causing James to come crashing into him, sending them both toppling onto the floor. They were in a jumble of limbs and laughs. They sat, all mixed up for a moment, catching their breath through the giggles.

"Lupin really sounds good on me, doesn't it? Sirius Lupin..." He looked off into the distance in awe of his soon-to-be identity.

"It really suits you. Glad to be rid of your family for good now, eh? I really am happy for you, Pads. I really am." They met each other's eyes and let themselves feel emotional for a split second before bursting into a fountain of laughter once more.

Sirius had finally gotten everything he'd ever wanted, and would ask for nothing more.
