Sirius Black was punk rock. He loved rock bands, wore leather jackets and ripped skinny jeans, wore black boots and had long black hair.

He even had a motorcycle, for Merlin's sake. He had a 'devil may care' attitude and got into loads of trouble.

He was as punk rock as they come, right?

And stealing his boyfriends jumpers was punk rock...right?

He didn't know what started it. Maybe it was the cliche that all the ladies steal their boyfriends jackets when they're cold, or maybe he was just really missing Remus over Christmas break when he stayed with James, and Moony was at home with his parents.

The point was, he missed his Moony and his jumpers were the next best thing. For one, they smelled like Remus, his jumpers, old books, and chocolaty smell.

Sirius adored it. And for another, they were incredibly soft and Sirius could finally understand why his boyfriend wore them all the time.

Sirius couldn't allow himself to be seen with the jumpers he stole, so he typically hid one under his pillow in his room at the Potter's house.

When they returned to school, even thought Remus was right there and often even slept in the same bed as Sirius (they both slept better together), Sirius had developed the habit of stealing Remus's jumpers.

After the Moony scent faded, Sirius would return them, sneaking them into the bottom of Remus' trunk like they were there the whole time. Remus didn't really notice until he wanted a specific jumper and couldn't find it anywhere.

Unbeknownst to him, it was simply under Sirius's pillow.

"Moony, you can't keep losing jumpers," James teased. Remus frowned, feeling a bit upset. "I always put them in my trunk, I don't leave my clothes all around the dorm like you lot do."

As the year progressed, more and more of Remus's jumpers went missing. James took a greater notice and took pity on the jumper-less Moony and bought him another when they were in Hogsmeade. Remus felt guilty at first, but James talked him into accepting the gift.

It quickly became one of Remus's favorites, and after he'd worn it a few times (so that the Moony scent set it), the jumper disappeared.

Remus was understandably upset and he couldn't find many others (Sirius had started to forget to return them), so James bought him another.

This went on for quite awhile until Remus stumbled upon the truth one day. He'd been searching for the Marauders Map. He couldn't remember who had it last, so he was looking around all the typical hiding places.

James hid it in his desk drawer when he had it, Peter in his trunk, Remus between the mattress and the bed frame, and Sirius like to hide things under his pillow.

As Remus moved Sirius's pillow, he discovered a whole three of his jumpers. His eyebrows shot up and he sighed, amazed at how he hadn't discovered this stockpile before hand. There were two of the new jumpers James got him and one older favorite of Remus'.

Remus grabbed them, holding them close to him, glad that he found them. He could tell by Sirius's scent that Sirius had been cuddling with them. Remus went to Sirius's trunk and found two more of his jumpers.

Remus frowned, bringing them back over to his own trunk and picking out his oldest, most favorite jumper and sat on Sirius's bed with it.

It wasn't long before the boy in question entered the dorm after a quidditch practice. He danced around the room with a practiced agility as he avoided stepping on any of the belongings on the floor.

He was shaken out of his focus when he saw Remus sitting on his bed. "Uhhhh," he trailed off, seeing the jumper in Remus's hands and he flushed.

Remus smirked, patting the spot next to him. Sirius, defeated, went over to sit next to his boyfriend on the bed, still sweaty in his quidditch gear.

"So this is where my jumpers have been going, huh?" Remus said after a brief silence.

"I can explain-

Remus held up his hand to interrupt and he laughed softly. "You don't have to, Sirius, it's not a big deal. I would just like my jumpers back because I happen to love wearing them a lot. But as a compromise, you can have this one."

He handed the jumper over to Sirius and he held it in his hands, eyes wide. It was old, Sirius could tell, but it smelt so much like Moony... He hadn't realized he'd pressed his face into the fabric until Remus laughed again.

"I can have it? For keepsies?" Sirius asked in a small voice.

Remus smiled lovingly. "Mmhm," he confirmed.

"I'll be giving it back when it loses it's smell," Sirius warned.

Remus pulled Sirius into his arms and nestled his face under Sirius's chin. "I expected as much."

Sirius smiled and kissed Remus's forehead. "Thanks for the sweater, Moony. And sorry for stealing them before."

Remus giggled. "You're a jumper thief."

"The most infamous jumper thief there ever was!" Sirius agreed quickly.

Remus snorted. "God, I love you Pads."

Sirius hummed in agreement. "I love you too."
