The next day, Amity, exhausted from staying up early in the morning trying to help her dad with something, headed to the library. It was one thing she appreciated, her dad trying to be better than he used to... sure it was sudden... and most likely because Odalia told him about Luz and he didn't want to be next, but it was a nice start... still she was exhausted.
'So tired. Almost want to just sleep all day.' Amity thought, rubbing her eyes a bit.
Still, she pressed on and continued towards the library. She has work to do, a lot of work to do, not just on a school project but on a more....personal project of her own.
"Hello, Amity." The front librarian said, greeting her.
"Hello, Gary." Amity greeted him tiredly.
She went passed him and began to get to work, first, she grabbed the books she needed for her school project, she wanted to get it done first, before working on her personal project, which she also found a book for.
'Now to my study room.' Amity thought.
Amity brought her books to her hidden room, getting started and even finishing it easily and quickly, expected for the top student.
'Now onto the more important project.' Amity thought, moving her school work aside for personal project.
She pulled out the one book she could find about Human Animals. Hopefully, it would have all Amity wanted to learn, not just about human animals but spirit animals as well. She quickly moved to the T section, seeing an orange cat with black stripes.
"So this is a tiger?" Amity said in awe, caressing her hand over the picture.
She flipped the page and saw a couple different variations of a tiger, including different sub species of the tiger and different types of fur color... including a white tiger.
"So... that's... what it... looks like." Amity said, slowly closing her eyes and laying her head down on the desk.
She began to dream of a snowy place, where a white tiger was crouching down while stalking prey, with a Black Panther hiding on a branch, waiting for the tiger to make her move so she could jump down and kill the prey. The tiger broke into a sprint, chasing the prey, some kind of buffalo creature. The tiger chased it all the way to the tree line, where the Black Panther jumped from her perch and sunk her teeth right into the back of the buffalo's head, taking it to the ground and killing it easily. The tiger flinched from hearing the sound of cracking bone and ripped flesh but she still couldn't look away as the panther and tiger began to share the hunted meal. The Panther and the Tiger affectionately nuzzled against each other's head.
Amity woke up and rubbed her eyes.
"Must've dosed off." Amity said, blinking her eyes a bit. "Still, that was a strangely sweet dream. Didn't know panthers and tigers could hunt together."
Though, thinking about it and remembering Luz saying her spirit animal could possibly be a tiger, it made Amity blush a bit before shaking her head.
"As nice as having a Spirit Animal would be, only humans can have them... right?" Amity said, "I mean, there aren't THAT many differences between humans and witches."
'Just pointed ears and bile sacks on the heart. Aside from those, we're nearly identical species.' Amity thought, going back to reading about Earth tigers.
The book didn't have anything about Spirit Animals, which was unfortunate.
But it was Still fascinating to learn more about Earth's animals...until she saw that giraffes were on Earth as well.
