Alhaitham's POV

The rain was drenching my body from head to toe. It was chilling my arms and legs, and made my clothes stick to my body and my hair fall down my shoulders. But when he pulled me out into the middle of the street I feel like I have never felt more alive. I could hear his laughter ringing in my ears, sounding like something that was echoing down a far away tunnel. Standing outside with no one around and the rain pouring down made me feel..... almost human again.

"Are you okay?"

He smiled, looking at me as he was drenched himself. His blonde hair was even longer than mine as it stuck to his body, and he was dripping with water.

"I'm.....fine."

I murmured, turning my head towards the heavens as the water slid down my face. I closed my eyes and let my body bask in the moment. I had no worries, no responsibilities. It was like the rain was washing everything away and I was finally free. Even for just a moment. I knew I would have to go back to work, but for once I realized I could worry later.

"You said you don't know how to dance, right?"

Kaveh asked, taking a step towards me.

"I'm not dancing with you."

"Oh come on. It'll be a useful skill."

"I don't know the first thing about dancing."

"That's why I'm here to teach you."

I grumbled under my breath and looked away.

"What, don't want to admit you aren't good at something? Don't worry, I'll fix that. I'll teach you the most basic form of dancing that you can do with anyone. Slow dancing."

I gasped and glared at him. I knew exactly what slow dancing was. It was wrapping your arms around your partner as you slid across the dance floor. It was intimate, something usually couples did. And he wanted to do it with me. Seeing the way he had been looking at me recently made me think more and more that he had developed real feelings for me. But.... for some reason I didn't want to refuse him. He had given me a beautiful moment, this moment. A moment of feeling free and forgetting how stressful my life could be. So in some kind of twisted way I felt like I owed him.

"If I dance with you it doesn't mean anything."

"I know."

"What do I do."

I sighed. Kaveh chuckled and took another step towards me, raising his arm that was now dripping with water.

"I'm going to touch you now."

He spoke softly. He raised both his arms and wrapped them around my neck, I could feel the water sliding down them and soaking my shirt even more.

"What if someone sees us."

I groaned.

"No one's out. Just trust me."

I sighed and decided to humor him. He wrapped his arms even tighter around my neck, and then moved them. He seemed like he was trying to think of what to do.

"Follow my lead."

He said, grabbing both my wrists. He guided them around to his waist, and had me wrap my arms around his waist. I could feel my face start to burn from blush as I felt his small waist around my arms. His face was slightly blush as well, but he seemed confident. He returned his arms back to the spot wrapped around my neck, and got so close to me I could have leaned down to kiss him.

"And then we slowly walk."

He whispered, taking a slow step to the left as he guided my body with the hands he had around my neck. He took slow steps in a circle, neither of us taking notice to the rain that was drenching us. I messed up a few times and walked the opposite of him, but he gently corrected my body with his hands as he raised his head to look into my eyes. I looked into his, but I knew my face was flushed with embarrassment. I couldn't help it. I was touching his waist, and guiding him, something that seemed far too intimate for me.
