*Evening at Roy Chowdhary mansion*
Anirudh is in his room getting ready. He is topless, just wearing a pair of pants unaware of the fact that someone is watching him and enjoying the view(or maybe he is....)
On the opposite of his room's balcony is Soudamini's balcony. She is holding a pair of binoculars looking at Anirudh. She is blushing while watching him when he suddenly disappears from his room. She comes ahead in the balcony and leans out in an attempt to see better but there is no sign of him. Suddenly, her hair that is perfectly done into a bun is opened.
"Ache ghar ki ladkiya kya aise chup chup ke kisi paraaye ladke ko dekhti hein?", Anirudh whispers in her ear, teasing her.
"To kya ache ghar ke ladke aise kisi ladki ke baal bikher dete hein?", she replies while blushing.
She turns around to look at Anirudh. He is lost in her. She is wearing a yellow dress for the English style party. Her hair was long and flowing down. He came towards her and held her, pulling her towards him. Then he took out a rose from his pocket and tucked it behind her ear.
"Baal khule rakho, Mini, achi lagti ho."
"Kise achi lagti hu?"
"Kise, acchi, lag sakti ho?"
She gets shy and pushes him slightly. Then she turn around and leans over the railing. "Tumne bataya nahi ki kyu vaapis aaye ho tum."
Anirudh suddenly reminisces the words of that British man. "Badlaav ke liye, Mini.", he says suddenly serious.
"Badlaav ke liye?"
"Ha. Abhi jyaada kuch bata nahi sakta mein par ye jaan lo ki jo karne aaya hu, vo kaam tumhare bina pura nahi ho paayega."
'Janti hu mein Anirudh. Tum humare rishte mein badlaav laana chahte ho. Mujhse vivah karne ke liye vapis aaye ho. Par ye baat to mein tumhare muh se sunna chahti hu.", she thinks to herself.
She is about to say something when she gets interrupted by Munshiji. "Binoy babu apko aur Soudamini ji ko party mein bula rahe hein, chote malik."
"Ji", he tells him.
He and Soudamini go over to his house in the hall. Amongst the crowd he spots a person and immediately goes towards them. "Sourav?", he said tapping their back. The man turned around. "Anirudh Ba-". Before he could complete his sentence, he is engulfed in a hug by Anirudh. "Kuch mat kaho dost bas gale lago."
As they leave the hug, he smiles widely at his friend. "Anirudh babu, ye kya kar rahe hein aap." Anirudh is confused. "Apne dost ko gale laga raha hu aur ye kya Anirudh babu bol rahe ho, sirf Anirudh kaho."
"Kaisi baat kar rahe hein Anirudh babu, kaha aap maalik aur kaha mein naukar."
"Ye kya bol rahe ho tum Sourav. Hum bachpan ke dost hein. Bachpan mein bhi to tum Anirudh hee bulate they na."
"Bachpan ki baat alag hein. Ab to bada ho gaya hein na. Jaanta hein ki kon ucha hein aur kaun nicha.", Trilochan kaka interrupts their conversation.
"Kaka, ye kya ucha aur nicha keh rahe hein ap. Sourav mere bachpan ka dos-"
"Jaane dijiye Anirudh babu."
Kaka sasurji gets infuriated. "Itni himmat kaise ho gayi tumhari ki zamindar ke bete ki baat kaat di."
"Kaka, shant ho jaiye."
"Tum humare sath chalo Anirudh."
Trilochan kaka drags Anirudh to the center of the room.
"Aaj aap sabhi ke saamne ham ek bohot zaruri ghoshna karna chahte hein. Humara beta Anirudh London se vaapas aa gya h. Aur sirf aaya nahi h balki London ki barristeri ko thokar maarke ghar vaapas aaya h humari Zamindari sambhaalne. Isliye aaj hum Roy Chowdharion ki poori Zamindari Anirudh ko saupte hein." As he says those words, Bihari comes holding a plate that has a huge bunch of keys on it. Trilochan kaka picks up the bunch and keeps it on Anirudh's palm. Anirudh is shocked at the suddenness of the event. "Aaj se ye zamindari tumhari hein Anirudh. Lo lo ye chaabiyan lo."
