Ch. 18 RESCUED (Edited)

*Devipur*

"KYA?! TUM USS BUDDHE SE VIVAH KAROGI BONDITA? TUMHARA DIMAAG TO KHARAB NAHI HO GAYA H?" Subhash shouted. The other two were staring in shock as they had never seen him that angry, especially at Bondita.

Bondita looked unfazed, as usual. Her cold eyes looked straight at Subhash, peircing holes in his face.

"Haa!" She said calmly, in a cold and deep tone. "Uss admi ko hridaya ki koi samasya h. Vaid ne kaha h do teen mahine se jyada uske jivan ki avadhi nahi h. Uski mrityu k baad, uski sari dhan daulat uski patni yaani meri hogi. Aur m apni maa ko iss narak se nikal ke le ja paungi."

"Waah! Kitna adbudh vichaar h." Subhash said sarcastically. "Tumhe aisa kyu lagta h ki ek admi k marne k baad uski patni ko dukh, pida, aur dhikkar k alawa bhi kuch mil sakta h. Aur agar hum bure se bura soche to tumhe S- Sa- Sati kr denge." He couldn't even speak those words or imagine her dying.

"Bangal m calcuta se leke dhaka tak log mere khauf se kaanpte h. Bache se leke boodhe tak mujhse darte h. Angreji afsaro ki mere naam tak se atma kaanp jati h. Aur tumhe lagta h ki m ek maamuli buddha, jo ki marne wala h, usse nahi sambhaal sakti." Bondita said.

"Mera vivah hoga aur issi buddhe se hoga. Aur tum sab mese koi bhi mere vivah m kisi tarah ka vighn utpann nahi karega. Binoy aur Sumudh, dono apni maa ki saugadh khaao." She turns towards Subhash. "Aur tum Subhash meri saugadh khaao ki tum iss vivah m koi badha nahi daloge. Tum logo ko iss vivah m aane ki bhi koi avashyakta nahi h."

"To tum jaanti ho. Ki tum mere liye kya ho, tabhi to apni saugadh de rhi ho. Aur fir bhi keh rhi ho ki m iss tarah tumhara vivah hone du, musibat ki taraf jane du tumhe."

"Tum bhi mere liye maayne rakhte ho. Tum teeno. Tum sab mere sathi ho. Ek sathi dusre sathi ke liye praan bhi de sakta h. Aur tum Subhash, jab mera insaano se hi bharosa uth gaya tha, tab mene tumpe pehli baar bharosa kiya tha. Isliye tumhe bhi mujhpe vishwas hona chahiye. Bass ab iss baare m aur koi baat nahi hogi."

Both Binoy and sumudh swore to not interrupt in her marriage.

"Thik h. Mein tumhari saugadh khata hu ki jab tak sab sahi hoga m tumhare vivah m koi dakhal nhi dunga. Lekin jaha mujhe laga ki isme tumhe koi haani h m iss vivah aur tumhare vivahit jivan dono m vighn dalne se piche nahi hatunga, Sardar. Khas karke tumhare uss pati ko marne se." Subhash swore and left from there in anger.

*Postpone to a few days later, on her marriage day*

*Bondita's Pov *

I hear some sounds, of a man shouting and heat, there is heat around. For some reason, I can't open my eyes even though I want to. That's right, Mami's kheer. I ate it and then my body and eyes felt heavy and I don't remember anything afterwards.

*Third Person pov *

Bondita suddenly felt someone touch her forehead, precisely the edge of her hairline. The man is shouting again but she can't make any sense out of the words. She is kind of awake but the drug seems to have paralyzed her. She can't open her eyes or move her body.

After sometime, she finally opened her eyes in her home. After that everything was rushed up. They quickly fixed her clothes and made her sit on the pithi to carry her to the mandap. She removed the betel leaves, held infront of her eyes after the pidhi was circled seven times around the groom and got shocked. Instead of the grumpy old man, was a depressed young man at the grooms place. Then she got even more surprised as she continued to look at him because she could recognise him from somewhere. THE GUY FROM THE SCHOOL! Yes he is the man, the only man other than her partners, who knows now, that she, kala daaku is not a man but a woman. And yes! THAT DAY WHEN THE VILLAGERS WERE CHASING HER. That day also it was him in the tonga. Now all she could think about was why she was marrying this guy instead of her original groom.
