If you look carefully in the corners,

You will find her there,

Hidden in the darkness that consumes her.

And those curls in her hair,

With her nose in a book,

And her head high in the clouds,

Hiding all the feelings she doesn't want to feel,

Away from the crowds.

If you take a second and sit beside her,

I promise the world will pass you by,

She'll tell you the stories

Behind the pain in her eyes,

If you just give her five minutes.

You'll see how her smile,

Makes even the bad things

In life seem worthwhile.

But I'll warn you,

Don't look in those corners,

Don't even glance. 

She'll sit there waiting,

To be given a chance
