I see nothing wrong in wishing the best for someone. Just know that keeping them close to you might not be what's best for you. 

Having these unrealistic expectations might only ever attract disappointment to you, so please come to realize that what you want from certain people might be the only thing they are able to give. 

Don't let yourself be naive. You can't just force them to love you, you will let yourself down in doing so. Not everybody will always be who it is you want them to be, accept the fact that you can't change these certain things or people, regardless of how much you want to. I know you care
