"Are you going to tell me what my brother supposedly took from you?"

I should act like I didn't hear that question but I did. We were the only two persons in his huge penthouse. I slowly sipped on my wine hoping he would magically forget he ever asked me.

I could feel his eyes on me. He was waiting for an answer.

"You are really not going to tell me." He said matter of factly.

" No. It doesn't concern you" I turned away from his judging look.

"If I'm helping you to find Albert because of this mysterious item then I should know what it is."

I glared at him for his very correct statement but I was still right. That has nothing to do with him. He also wanted to find Albert.
The ringing of my phone snapped me out of my thoughts. And I couldn't be more greatful. I didn't want to get cornered in the conversation, Thawne was good at that.

The name of the caller brought a big smile to my lips and my heart almost leaped out of my chest at the sight of the name.

"I'm glad Marcelo finally allowed you to call me." I said as soon as I accepted the call.

I could hear her scoff on the other side as I imagined the smile on her face and her eye roll.

"Hello to you too. I thought you've forgotten that you have a friend and having the time of your life on your vacation." She retorted.

Yes, I lied to my best friend that I was on a vacation. Don't judge me.

"How is your vacation going?" I smiled at her  genuine question. She is always caring.

Don't know how she fell for Marcelo. That lucky bastard.

"Fine. I'm just doing the normal. Going to parties, sight seeing, meeting people. You know, vacation stuff."

Wow, you are really disappointing your reputation as a great liar.

This is what happens when your best friend has a strong effect on you.

" Why do I feel like you are downplaying it?"

"I'm so not." I huffed dramatically. "I fear that if I hold you too long on the phone, your fiance would have my head."

"That's your excuse. I hope you are not doing something crazy?" I could hear the slight seriousness in her voice.

Well, I've done one crazy thing. Ask for a devil's help.

" You make me sound like I get into trouble every chance I get." I felt a little hurt by her correct statement.

"That's because you do, you oaf."

I could contain the chuckle that escaped my lips.
Susan really knows how to make me go from extremely uncomfortable and nervous to the complete opposite in a matter of seconds. It was the reason I felt threatened by her the first time we met. The air around her made me so comfortable. Something I wasn't accustomed to.

I could feel Thawne watching me, but I couldn't care right now. My mind was occupied with Susan.

"Well you are right but I can't make any promises not to get into more trouble." I half joked and I could hear her chuckle on the other line. I should prepare her for the trouble I might cause.

"I'm really happy you went on this vacation Hannah." I heard the seriousness in her voice which made me feel guilty about lying to her.

"Me too." I clenched my jaw at my continued lie.

"Go away, I'm talking to Hannah."

I could hear her voice softly in the background now. Then I heard a hard grunt on the other line which sounded familiar.

That caveman have found her.

I was angry. That man just wants her all to himself. Who knew that one of the most dangerous men on the planet is extremely clingy.

"Hey give that back, what are you doing?"  I heard her say again.

"What do you want?" A hard cold voice said on the other line replacing the warm sweet voice.

" Hello Marcelo. Couldn't let me talk to my friend in peace, could you?"

"What do you want from her?" He asked again in a cold voice.

Susan might have changed him but he was still the cold, hard, unfeeling man except when he was with Susan.

"Just telling her how bad of an idea it is for her to marry you." I said intentionally to piss him off which did just that as I heard his annoyed growl from the background.

"Give me that."  I heard Susan's voice in the background.

"Hey Hannah, sorry for that." Susan was now on the line.

"You don't have to be. I'm aware that your fiance is a caveman."

"Hannah." She scolded.

"What. I'm not wrong. He wouldn't even let me speak to you in peace."

I heard her sigh in resignation.

"I'm not going to get into the issues between the both of you. " She resigned.

"I hope you enjoy your vacation Hannah. You -" sh stopped abruptly.
"Y-You...um.. m-m-meet –" she stammered.

I raised my brows confused at her stammering before hearing kissing sounds at the background.

"I'm on the phone."

"Then get off it."

That brute just wants her all to himself doesn't he.

"I'm going to leave you two alone. Call me when you are... Less busy"

"Uh.. ok. Bye. Love you."

"Love you too." I said before I cut the call.

Although I was always annoyed at how Marcelo tries to take up all the time with her, I couldn't help but feel happy and relived. After what happened to them last year, I was sure more than anything that Marcelo would protect her with his life for the rest of his life. And I was a little jealous... I have horrible luck with love but I couldn't help but think that of a man like Marcelo could find a woman, a great woman who loves him dearly and who he loves obsessively, then there was some hope for me.

"What's wrong?" Thawne asked.

"What?" I asked in confusion. It was then I had realized that I had sighed out loud.

"Nothing. I couldn't be more better now."

"Why don't you ask Marcelo for help?"

"What?"

"This would be a whole lot easier if whatever it is you got yourself into is solved by him."

"No. I can handle this on my own. If i involve him, Susan would also get involved. I can't let that happen." I was now talking more to myself.

Susan has always been ready to help me and since coming out to she and Aisha about my past last year, we had even become closer. They knew everything. But I can't tell her this, she  had gone through so much last year. She was happy now, I'm not going to worry her with my problems.

"I'm going to solve this myself."

"You care about her so much." Thawne wasn't asking.

"She more than my best friend. She's my sister. My family."

"I don't know why everyone is so obsessed with her." I could hear a tinge of annoyance and anger in his voice and I knew he was also talking about Marcelo's love for her.

"She's special. Susan is special." I looked into the thin air. I didn't realize the smile that crossed my face as I stared into space but the man sitting beside me did.
