Chapter 08.

"Enzo, where are we going?".

"How should I know?".

"Mate, I think that's the girl's bathroom".

"Transfiguration is held by a courtyard I think".

"Mate, we're on the seventh floor".

Mattheo and Lorenzo rush around the whole school. They should be in Transfiguration with Professor McGonagall right now, but they can't find the classroom.

Neither boy knows their way around, Lorenzo can't remember where he's going, and there is no one around since students are in class.

It takes a friendly ghost named Nearly-Headless Nick, a ghost who's head is held on by a thin strip of skin, to give them directions to their class.

Mattheo and Lorenzo burst into Transfiguration classroom 1, and only 20 minutes late.

The Slytherins have this lesson with Ravenclaw house. All of the students are busy copying notes off of the chalk board.

Both boys struggle to catch their breath. They've run the height and length of the castle over and over while trying to find the classroom.

Artemis and Frey giggle with each other as they see both boys collapse into the remaining free desk. The other Slytherin students laugh at their misfortune.

The Ravenclaw students all seem to be in awe of Mattheo, and it's really annoying for him to be constantly fawned over.

The classroom is filled with items of all shapes and sizes. Items used in lessons to magically change into another form. A cat is sitting stiffly on McGonagall's desk, McGonagall doesn't appear to present.

Lorenzo let's out a little chuckle. "Could you imagine the situation we would be in if McGonagall found us late to class?" Lorenzo laughs to Mattheo. Mattheo laughs back in relief.

Lorenzo couldn't imagine what his mother would say if she found out he'd been late to his first lesson.

Artemis and Frey try to signal for both of the boys to stop talking. Mattheo and Lorenzo are too busy being cocky to notice the warnings.

The cat leaps from the desk, and it transforms midair into the shape of a woman. It changes into Professor McGonagall.

Mattheo and Lorenzo both look terrified.

McGonagall's lips are thin with rage. Her stern expression honed in on Mattheo and Lorenzo.

"Perhaps she is wondering why two Slytherin students are late on their first day?" McGonagall barks at the two boys. "Not a great impression to make upon your teachers and classmates".

McGonagall waits to hear the excuse that the two boys will concoct for their tardiness.

"Perhaps I should transform you into an alarm clock?" She offers.
