As Christmas rolls in over the castle, the students are treated to a thick layer of snow about mid-December. Only Fred and George Weasley could come up with a plan to have snowballs follow Quirrell around all day smacking off the back of his turban.

Mattheo, Lorenzo, Harry and Ron go for a more subtle plan. They set up a bunch of sleds in the grounds, but when people try to use them they're latched down, and the sled took them at a frightening pace. It was fun until they accidentally caught Mrs Norris (Filch's cat) with a sled. She hasn't been the same since.

Mattheo and Lorenzo even managed to slip silencing sugar into Professor Snape's morning coffee. His voice gave out right in the middle of his first lesson of the day, and Mattheo and Lorenzo had to try their hardest not to burst out laughing, since it would give them away at the culprits.

Mattheo has fallen into a steady routine of studying with Artemis in the Undercroft, trying to find Nicholas Flamel in the Library, lessons and Quidditch practice. And the odd times when he has to visit Delphini in the Hospital Wing, as she's back in again with her whole body in pain.

Frey and Lorenzo have been helping Flitwick and McGonagall with the decorating in the Great Hall, both of them getting handy with their levitation charms. They both love getting into the Christmas spirit at Hogwarts.

During their lessons, Draco seems to be getting worse, ever since Mattheo was celebrated for winning the Gryffindor/ Slytherin Quidditch match.

"I can't wait for Christmas. I can't wait to go home to people that actually want me" Draco makes sure to stand behind Mattheo as he says this. Uncle Reagan has made no attempt to try and get Mattheo and Delphini to come home for the holidays.

Mattheo concentrates on his potion work, and not falling for Draco's obvious bait. Snape will be looking for any reason to give Mattheo detention, as he seems to also be in a foul mood as they approach Christmas.

Crabbe and Goyle chuckle along with Draco. All of them have their rich families and extravagant Christmases to have back home.

Even if Reagan had wanted them to come home they couldn't, not with Delphini in the condition that she's in. Thea needs to have access to the Hospital Wing with her condition, a still unknown condition. Madam Pomfrey seems to be the only one that can help Delphini of late.

Lorenzo will be staying in the castle also. Mr Bradley is travelling abroad this Christmas and Professor Weasley will be travelling to see him. So Lorenzo decided to stay at Hogwarts with Mattheo and Delphini. And he's looking forward to a proper Hogwarts Christmas.

Artemis will be heading home to spend the holidays with her families. And Frey doesn't know who her family is, so she's going to be joining the Bellator family Christmas.

Mattheo wouldn't want to go back to Arcanville anyways, he wouldn't be welcome there, and he definitely wouldn't be able to keep a low profile back there now he knows who he is.

After class, Mattheo and Lorenzo head up to the Entrance Hall to find that Hagrid is lumbering trees through to the Great Hall. The final tree seems to have stuck on the door hinge.
