It's the BAFTA the most nerve wracking night of my life. I'm currently sat in the audience with Beth by my side. I'm nominated for best actor and even if I don't win it's a pleasure to be nominated and even be able to attend such a prestigious award ceremony.

"Now the next award is for leading actor getting to tell a story is the most fulfilling thing to do as an actor. Here are the nominees for leading actor" Richard Grant said

The screen showed the nominees and their respective movies.

"And the winner for leading actor is. . . Y/n Mead" I looked at Beth shocked giving her a hug and a kiss on the cheek before I made my way down to the stage and accepting the award

"Wow Ermm I didn't expect this at all. Making this movie was been the best experience of my life and I don't think anything else I'll make with ever top making this. Growing up I've always admired Elvis and his music and I still do to this day. His death shocked the world and he truly showed his mark that he left. I wanna thank the Presley family for showing me who Elvis was allowing me to tell his story, I wanna thank the cast and crew I wouldn't be here accepting this award if it wasn't for you. Baz Luhrmann you are legendary and spending the last two years creating this movie and helping you get this vision across I couldn't be more thankful. I wanna thank my agent for getting me this job,  I want to thank my dialect coach Irene Bartlett I wouldn't of been able to become the king if it wasn't to you. Finally I want to thank my family for believing in me at the beginning of my career everything I have done is for you, but most importantly I want to thank my biggest supporter who is no longer with us my mum for two years I couldn't come home and film due to covid and not getting to see her was the worst of my life, but luckily she got to see this movie before she passed, every thing I do is for you mum. Thank you everyone thank you BAFTA" I said

Before I left the stage I could see Beth wipe the tears from her face, I went backstage to take some photos. Before I went back to my seat "you had to make us cry didn't you" Beth said "you knew I'd thank mum" I said "i know, she would be proud of you" Beth said "she'd be proud of all of us" I said
