Your pov pt2:
Waking up at around 1pm I felt slightly sick from excitement and butterflies, I can't believe Im feeling this way over a boy I barley know and who seemed to hate me up until now.
I got ready, spending extra time making sure I looked perfect for today and went downstairs to tell my parents I'm going out.
"Heyy, I'm gonna be off to see some friends" just as I was reaching for the door, my parents said "woahh, no you're not. We have that family meal remember?" GOD.
I forgot. My heart felt heavy since I had to cancel plans with Awsten. As stupid as it seems my eyes welled up, I was so excited and now i feel as though I'm letting down Awsten.
I quickly messaged Awsten.
You:
I'm so sorry, I have a
family meal today.
I completely forgot xx

Ugh. I felt terrible, even though I was through a message that "oh" hurt me. He probably didn't mean anything by it but I don't know I can't help but feel as though he feels like I'm making it up.
I had to go back upstairs and change my outfit since this meal was meant to be rather fancy. I put on black skinny jeans and a smart t-shirt... it wasn't the best thing but it was still something I guess.
"Oh by the way, Adam and his family will be joining us" my parent announced.... fuck I hate that they're close. I really didn't want to see him after the situation at college.

Once I got there and sat down, Adam and his family arrived not soon after. We spoke a bit about what he's planning on doing for the weekend and his college course, I mentioned my lessons with awsten "lessons are quite boring but having awsten, though he doesn't talk-" quickly shutting up as I saw him roll his eyes .
Once the conversation had ended I looked through Instagram from under the table, I saw this post of a really round frog to send to Awsten.
I felt Adam peer over my shoulder but I think it was just so we coukd take a selfie for his Instagram or something, he didn't actually specify why but it doesn't really matter. Soon after we fianlly began our meal.
I messaged Awsten again seeing if he's okay, I didn't want to pester him but I wanted him to know I did want to be with him right now... but he wasn't replying and eventually left me on read. He definitely thinks I've just bailed on him for no reason. Who forgets about a family dinner...
