Chapter ten 💌

The group spent what seemed like forever, out looking for Nylah'a, checking the whole reef.

But beforehand something else had occurred.

Nylah'a was sitting on a rock crying when a large Akula attempted to attack her from the side biting into the rocks and coral. A distressed Nylah'a got up from the rock and tried swimming off to her ilu before the large Akula chased her ilu away. Nylah'a attempted to swim back under the coral as there was no way she would be able to make it to the surface. She swam under rocks with the angry Akula coming up right behind her smashing through rocks and the reef. Nylah'as heart was beating fast and she began to panic.

"Nylah'a!" Neteyam yelled continuously. "Nylah'a where are you!"

"Sister!" Tsireya yelled.

"Nylah'a please!" Neteyam yelled.

All of a sudden Neteyam felt a large vibration come from under the water, he put his face in the water to realise it was Nylah'a and she was under attack, swimming for her life.

Neteyam and his ilu dove down racing after them.

Nylah'a thought she lost the Akula, but before she knew it, it came up from above her. She grabbed for her knife and accepted the fact that this is the end. She was already losing consciousness.

As she pulled out her knife, suddenly Neteyam sped past on his ilu reaching his hand out and grabbing Nylah'as.

He raced away from the large creature and headed back to the group.

"Neteyam." Nylah'a said weakly before passing out.

"Nylah'a no no!" Neteyam panicked.

The group surrounded them.

"Neteyam please help her!" Tsireya begged.

Neteyam began giving Nylah'a mouth to mouth hoping to wake her up. He did it one last time and Nylah'a gasped for a big breath of air.

Neteyam sighed in relief holding onto Nylah'as head.

"Oh thank god your okay." Neteyam thanked.

"I didn't think the first time we were going to kiss was going to be like this." Nylah'a laughed weakly.

"Me neither." Neteyam leaned on her head.

"Come on bro! Let's get her back." Lo'ak said swimming off in the distance.

Neteyam grabbed Nylah'as leg and rested her head on his chest.

"Hold my arm, okay?" Neteyam said to Nylah'a as they sped back to the village.

Nylah'a had been asleep for a while, Ronal had been with her majority of the time, but Neteyam had not left her side. Ronal knew she was in good hands and let them to be for when she woke up. Same with Lo'ak and Tsireya.

Slowly Nylah'a opened her eyes and stared up at Neteyam who was holding her hand.

"Oh thankyou Great Mother." Neteyam thanked Eywa for allowing Nylah'a to wake up again.

"Neteyam." Nylah'a said weakly.

"I thought I lost you." Neteyam said as a tear dropped from his eye. "I'm sorry for everything I said, I didn't mean it."

"I know." Nylah'a replied.

"I care about you so much, Nylah'a." Neteyam expressed. "The fact that I was the reason you were in that situation makes me feel so guilty. My heart broke thinking you wouldn't wake up."
