Silent and still, I wait in the deep
A flash of color, a lure to keep
Mouth agape, my target draws near
A sudden gulp, the end is here
A moment's satisfaction, then it's gone
A thousand more to come, my lifelong song
In this vast vacuum, I am but a speck
A predator in waiting, always on the check
My purpose flows, a constant show,
As I bask in a blue world below.
In the deep and dark, where senses falter,
My unwavering purpose remains my altar.
But my time has come, my catch is near
A final pounce, my goal is clear
The struggle is brief, the battle won
Another meal, my duty done.
