The dust begins to settle. Makhail looks up from the sinkhole. Then looks down at all the rubble. Makhail gets up. He looks around him and sees buildings cracking and crumbling. Anna reach's up to grab some debris to help herself up. Anna gets up. She pulls Charles up. The others begin to get up and climb up the debris. They all look around.
Vera: this is the end isn't it?
Leslie: we're still here.
Finn: barely.
Koh: we still have time, we just have to find cars, and get out of here.
Anna: what about the rest of the citizens?
Finn: we should go, let's find a car.
They all run around looking for cars. Makhail calls Bella. He doesn't get an answer.
Makhail: I called Bella, she didn't answer.
Leslie: maybe our calls around going out.
Koh: less talking, find a car.
Makhail finds a car. He break the window open then unlocks the door.
Makhail: HEY I GOT A CAR!
They all run over to him.
Koh: who's going with him?
Beckett: me.
Leslie: me and Tariq
Anna: me and Charles will too.
Koh: so me, Finn,Vera, and Eve okay
Makhail: we're not all fitting in this car.
The ground below them starts to crack.
Makhail: get in or on the car now.
Makhail, Anna, Charles, Vera, Leslie, and Beckett get in the car. Tariq and Finn get in the truck, while Koh and Eve get on the roof. Makhail cuts the wires and starts to hot-wire the car. The ground beneath them begins to split.
Koh: hurry up, we don't have much time.
The wires spark.
Makhail: I'm trying.
Anna: let me try.
He hands her the wires. She bushes them against each other a few times. The car finally starts. Makhail starts the car and drives off.
Koh: we're going to need more cars.
Makhail: no, we're getting out of here.
Koh: we won't go far like this.
Anna: stop by that place over there, I can hot-wire a few cars.
Makhail pulls the car over. Everyone hops out. Anna hot-wires three more cars.
Makhail: Beckett, you Tariq and Leslie need to go, get in the car and go.
Beckett: I don't want to leave you.
Makhail: Beckett we do not have time for this, go.
Leslie: I better see all of you at the town line, I mean it.
Makhail: count on it.
