nailea woke up to a small pull on her hair, she opened her eyes to see that she was lying down with her head on matts lap. he was twirling a piece of her hair while he looked at his phone.
"shit, did i wake you up?" matt lets the strand of her hair go
"yeah you asshole" nailea mumbles, rubbing her eyes
"sorry" matt shrugs as she sits up
"didnt i fall asleep on your shoulder?" nailea asks
"yeah but i moved you down to my lap so i myself could sleep" matt answers "and your hair is like really tangled"
"it is not!" nailea exclaims "its tangled right now because you were twirling it and that causes knots"
"i dont give a shit" matt answers "like i actually dont"
"ill shave your god damn head" nailea reprimands, walking to her kitchen and opening the fridge "what do you want to eat?"
"nothing because you'll probably poison it" matt tells her
"ill put rat poison in it because youre a rat and look like one" nailea smiles sarcastically
"youre so nice to me i dont deserve you" matt sighs
"i know you dont deserve me at all" nailea says "where are your brothers?"
"they slept in the guest room" matt answers
"good morning" riley walks downstairs from her room
"good morning" nailea says
"morning" matt says
"you two slept in here alone?" riley asks, grabbing an apple juice box from the fridge
"yeah no shit riri" nailea answers, going on her phone
"hey can kie come over?" matt asks
"she can always come over" nailea says "but isnt she in spain?"
"she just got back" matt shrugs "shes on her way"
"we should go to the pool today" riley says "like the neighborhood pool"
"im down" nailea says "matt?"
"yeah sure" matt shrugs
"did someone say something about the pool?" chris asks, walking out of the guest room with nick "i wanna go to the pool"
"me too!" nick exclaims
"lets wait for kie"
kiara and nailea were in naileas room, trying to pick out a swimsuit for kiara to borrow.
"this one?" nailea holds a blue two piece swimsuit up
"that one's pretty" kiara says
"you can borrow it, here" nailea hands it to her
kiara smiles softly and walks in naileas bathroom that's connected to her room, locking the door.
"hey, kie?" nailea asks from her room
"whats up?" kiara asks
"this might sound stupid but i have a question" nailea says
"ask" kiara tells the girl
right as shes about to speak, someone knocks in the door.
"come in" nailea says
"are you girls ready?" matt walks in the room, his mouth falling slightly agape at the sight of his ex girlfriend that looked abnormally beautiful
"im waiting for kie" nailea says "you guys can start going though"
"alright. we'll wait for you guys at the pool" matt leaves the room
kiara walks out of the bathroom, holding two towels in her hands.
"here" kiara hands one of them to nailea "what were you gonna ask me?"
"nothing. nothing dont worry about it" nailea smiles softly as they both walk out the house
it was now seven p.m and they were all still at the beach, nailea and kiara were outside the pool having a conversation about whether john b was a better boyfriend than topper or vice versa.
"hey can i ask you a question, again?" nailea asks, a chuckle leaving her mouth
"yeah" kiara says "whats up?"
"uhm. its going to sound, weird. i know it will and im sorry if it offends you or anything" nailea rants as kiara sends her a small nod "do you- like are you and ma- do you like matt?"
"what?" kiara asks, kind of taken aback by the question
"sorry its stu-"
"no, no it isn't stupid dont worry" kiara sends the girl a soft smile "do you think i like him?"
"i don't know. i just want to know but you dont have to tell me" nailea says, looking away from kiara
"look, youre the first person im telling this to so please dont tell anyone else, not riley or the triplets" kiara says "please?"
"i wont tell anyone, pinky swear" nailea holds her pinky out
"i take pinky promises and pinky swears really seriously" kiara raises the eyebrows
"me too" nailea nods "so what is it?"
"i, i like girls" kiara gets out rapidly
"oh" nailea says
"i havent told my parents yet. youre the first person. i trust you" kiara says
"no, yeah you can trust me i totally support you" nailea smiles softly "do you think matt knows you don't like him?"
"matt and i are completely platonic in my opinion, but i dont know if he knows that" kiara sighs "i have to tell him"
"take your time, no one is pressuring you" nailea puts her hand over kiaras "but knowing matt, hes going to try to make a move sooner rather than later if he does like you"
"ill slap him if he tries"
"oh my god if you slap him ill be eternally grateful"
