The screen shifts to reveal Harry getting letters from the front door.
" He's getting his letter " Lily gushed
He comes across a letter with his name and his cupboard's address
" Wait, you knew ? " James shouted
" Self-Addressing quills Mr.Potter
" James his last name " Sirius gasped loudly
Everyone's eyes trailed towards the name on the letter leaving a very amused audience
And a mortified Lily
" YESSSSS!!!!! I GOT LILY-FLOWER "
Lily was too shocked to say anything and gave him a slight smile which he giddily returned
The sound of distributing galleons filled the hall leaving a gaping Lily and grinning James
Uncle Vernon and Dudley sit at the table while Aunt Petunia is busy fixing breakfast. Harry walks in with the mail and hands it to Uncle Vernon, then walks to his seat with his letter.
"Oh, Marge is ill! Ate a funny whelk."
Dudley suddenly notices Harry's letter and runs to grab it from him and give it to his father.
"Dad! Look! Harry's got a letter!
" You little snitch !! "
"Hey, give it back! It's mine!"
"Yours? Who'd be writing to you?" The family gathers to look at the address.
" Hogwarts"
There is a broken seal on the letter. The family looks up and Harry gulps.
Much later, another owl flies by with a letter and drops it off. Inside, Vernon grabs a handful of letters and rips them up.
In the closet, Harry hears a whirring noise. he looks out at Vernon drilling wood over the letterbox opening.
"No more mail through this letterbox."
" Man's fucking mad "
Harry quietly closes the cupboard door.
The screen shifts to Harry handing out cookies to Vernon who was reading a newspaper
" Sunday is the best day of the week. Do you know why , Dudley? " He asked taking a cookie from Harry
" Because there's no letters on Sunday" Harry answered in Dudley's steed
