At night the clan held a get-together to welcome the newcomers.

Tawn'kiri walked towards Sully's pod with a fishing basket filled with fruits and dried kelp. She noticed them huddling together and pondered whether it was a great time to interrupt.

However, before she could go, Jake Sully's eyes locked with her.

Again she immediately felt shy at his intense gaze and bowed her head slightly.

"Lady Tawn'kiri," Jake greeted, making his children turn around to look at the woman.

"I am so sorry. I did not mean to interrupt," Tawn said shyly, looking at the family. She couldn't help but notice the lack of a mother in the family.

"Oh no, we have finished anyways," Jake said, standing up and walking towards Tawn. She noticed how tall he was compared to her.

She cleared her throat before speaking, looking up at Jake, "I brought you this for your family," she gave him the basket.

"Thank you," he smiled at her before turning back to his kids, "what do you say?" he reminded.

A chorus of thank yous was heard, but it wasn't enthusiastic, making Tawn giggle.

"you're welcome," she smiled widely at his children. "if you are not tired from your long journey, please come to the get-together we have for dinner. Tsahik and the others have prepared something special for all of you."

The kids looked at her dad for an answer, "thank you for the invitation, lady Tawn'kiri. We will surely be there."

Tawn beamed widely, "I will leave you to rest then. See you tonight."

Jake nodded along with his children. When you were out of earshot, Tuktirey asked her dad, "is she a real-life princess?"

Jake couldn't help but smile at his youngest daughter, "you could say that."

...

The festivities were at their height when the Sullys decided to come around. Tawn walked towards them and beamed at the family. Wanting them to feel welcome in the sea of strangers.

"Good evening, I hope all of you have a good rest," Tawn greeted.

"Yeah, thank you, we did," Jake returned her warm smile.

Noticing that his children were shifting uncomfortably behind Jake because of the attention that their getting, Tawn decided to end their misery, "hey, do you want to join Tsireya and the others? They are sitting there with the other teenagers and young adults," she offered.

Jake looked at Tawn, thankful at her kind gesture, before turning to his children, "you guys should go with lady Tawn'kiri. Remember what I said before?"

His children hummed impassively.

"Okay, come with me, please," Tawn offered her hand to Jake's youngest children, watching her take her hand timidly. Tawn then turned to Jake's oldest daughter before tilting her head to say, 'come with me'.

Tawn glanced back at Jake locking her eyes with his as if trying to reassure him that his children would be okay with the Tsireya and Aonung's friends. When Jake got the message, he nodded at Tawn once again, thankful for her hospitality, and walked in the opposite direction, where Tonowari and Ronal, along with the older warriors, sat.

Tawn looked down at the little princess, "my name is Tawn'kiri, but you could call me Tawn or Tawnie if you want," she smiled at the teenagers.

"Hi, Tawnie! I'm Tuktirey, but everyone calls me Tuk," Tuk grinned at her, seeming comfortable with her, "you have the same name as my sister Kiri," she said, pointing to her big sister, who waved her hand at Tawn.
