The next day, Tawn woke up with puffy eyes. After Jake dropped her off, she cried herself to sleep, and she felt miserable. She was so embarrassed to face Jake. She just wanted to vent to her spirit sister about her feelings.

She groaned and stood up from her rug. She walked towards a jug and drank the fresh water in it. She didn't care. She lived alone anyway, so no one was there to judge her if she drank it out from the jug.

The water quenched her dry throat, and it made her feel better. She walked outside towards her sister's tent, knowing she should've woken up by now.

She passed by her neighbours, greeting them as she walked by. She walked into Ronal marui and greeted her sister.

Ronal greeted her back, but she was facing the opposite direction, "morning, sister, did you have a good night's sleep-AH! What happened to your eyes? Are you sick? Is it itchy?" Ronal questioned when she faced Tawn. She ran towards her little sister, checking for a bite or anything that could cause the puffiness of Tawn's eyes.

Tawn just groaned, "it's worse, is it?"

Ronal just nodded, "what's wrong?"

Tawn just shrugged, "nothing, but can I please have something warm for my eyes, please?" she requested, plopping down in the middle of the Marui.

Ronal nodded and grabbed something for Tawn.

"where's the others?" Tawn noted her marui sounded so quiet this morning. Usually, Aonung and Tsireya were by her side, waiting for their mother's meal, but they were nowhere to be seen. Tonowari was also not here, cuddling up to his wife and rubbing their lovey-dovey relationship on the mateless metkayinas faces.

"Tonowari and Aonung are waiting for the tulkuns' arrival while Tsireya is out; I think she followed her father and brother out too," Ronal said, sitting beside her and giving her a warm cloth for her eyes, "or maybe with Sully's second son, Lo'ak?"

Tawn nodded in acknowledgement. She pressed the warm cloth on her eyes and kept it there for a few minutes, listening to clicking and humming from her sister.

"Tawn, I made you something," Ronal suddenly said, making Tawn remove the cloth from her eyes.

"What is it?"

"Ta-daa," Ronal exclaimed, revealing a beautiful two-piece attire. The crochet top was so beautiful and elegant. The top was off-shoulders but with a pearl necklace connecting to the top of the dress to make it stay put even underwater, and the skirt was at a lovely length so she not too feel constricted and uncomfortable when she swam.

"It is so beautiful, sister!" Tawn grinned widely, she loved it so much, and it was true, "thank you for making this for me," she hugged her sister tight.

"Now, you should change and come back here so I can do your hair," Ronal smiled, ushering her to one of the kid's rooms.

Tawn did precisely that; when she wore it, she felt like a princess. She felt beautiful. Taniya would love this. She giggled at the thought and went back to Ronal.

Ronal looked at her sister with eyes full of adoration and pride, "Eywa has blessed you with beauty and grace, sister. You should be thankful for that," she smiled, "come here, sit in front of me," Ronal petted the empty spot in front of her to which Tawn took, feeling her spirits lifted by Ronal's gesture.

"I'm going to do a half-updo. Is it okay if I take out all your braids?" Ronal asked to which Tawn nodded. "You surely will be the flower of this village today."

Tawn laughed light-heartedly at her sister, "so you mean I wasn't the flower of this village yesterday and the day after that?" she teased.

Ronal rolled her eyes at her little sister, teasing, "You'll always be my syulang," Ronal smiled softly, "I wish sa'nok and sempul could see you right now. I'm sure they'd be so proud of their youngest sister."
