"Tawnie, come here!" Kia yelled from behind Tawn'kiri, who was in the middle of explaining flower anatomy to the kids.

"Kiki, what did I tell you? Don't yell like that," Tawn said, trying to be patient with the seven years old.

She walked towards Kia, who was standing at the entrance of the small forest they had on their little island, with the other kids following her.

"Look! Toruk Makto is learning how to ride a skimwing," she said excitedly, pointing at the group of warriors circling a big skimwing.

Jake Sully has been a star in the village, especially with the little kids, since the story of Toruk Makto defeating the demons was one famous bedtime story.

Tawn looked at him getting ready to mount the skimwing that was held down by three other warriors. Tonowari was standing beside him, saying something to a very determined Jake Sully.

Tawn was curious about how this would play out and, judging by how the kids were so excited to see the Toruk Makto in action, a little break wouldn't hurt anyone.

Tawn watched Jake Sully getting ready to mount the skimwing with a rope hanging on his mouth. She scrunched her eyebrows. That was new.

Jake successfully climbed the animal with much effort before settling on it.

Tawn bit her lip, watching Jake adjust on the skimwing and tie his hand to the saddle handle before readying himself on it. Something about him doing that seemed too suggestive for her.

The group watched Jake ride the skimwing over the water. The ride looked bumpy but eventually, he levelled out above the water, looking really in tune with the movement of the skimwing.

The kids cheered for his success.

"Yes!! Toruk Makto!!"

Some even let out a war cry.

Of course, the group of warriors and Toruk Makto looked at the commotion. Tawn laughed at her pupils, waving at the warriors in greetings before trying to calm her students down. She didn't want Jake Sully to lose focus.

But it was in vain since he lost focus and got thrown out of the skimwing when it dived at high speed.

The kids winced and laughed when they witnessed it.

Tawn let out a slight laugh before ushering the kids away, knowing it'd hurt the former olo'eyktan's pride being laughed at, "okay, children come, Kia, let us finish today's activity," she called them in.

Tawn knew all too well if she continued her class, it wouldn't be conducive after the disruption that they watched. So she let them out early.

Later that day, in the last hour before the eclipse, Tawn decided to check on Tsireya and Aonung. She was curious about their lesson with the Sully's kids.

She walked on the stretched fabric to the shore, greetings the people with small smiles and stopping for short conversations.

Tawn was enjoying her peaceful walk alone when someone talked directly in her ear, "did the kids enjoy the show I put on?"

Tawn jumped at the sudden intrusion of her peace, preparing to hit the intruder. She raised her arms, but, as if Jake already had some experience with women whacking him on the head, he skillfully caught her right arm with his left.

Tawn turquoise blue eyes widen seeing the man in front of her.

"Jake Sully! You scared me!" Tawn scolded. The warmth of his hand didn't go unnoticed by the woman.
