It's gonna be another late night at the office again
Today I had three court cases back to back. My sectary called out sick, so I had nobody to answer the phone and take messages. Casey's been called swamp in case loads
Don't get me wrong l love my job as a lawyer but sometimes I wish l had someone to go home to at night
My sister and I are so different from each other Daddy's is the captain of his precinct and mother is lawyer and Stephanie is a sergeant of the LAPD. Our parents had high expectations for us since we were kids, l booked my plane ticket. I don't fly out until Friday evening, l haven't heard back from Stephanie to find out what time her and her family are leaving. It's our parents twenty fifty anniversary this year, we went half on sending them on a ten day cruise. I had to tell Casey l wasn't available to this weekend to go out for drinks with her, l don't even know what l'm going to wear for this party. Tomorrow at work
I have to swing by the mall to look for a dress, our parents are very traditional. Mom likes things in order even though they have a house keeper who does all the cooking and cleaning, l don't remember mom ever preparing dinner. We went to some of the best schools in California dad was strict on us, we weren't allowed to date until we were sixteen. It's something about the chicken and broccoli with fried rice. I'm to lazy to cook a four course meal, mother taught us how to bake at an early age. I know Stephanie took some cooking classes at the local community center coming up, l just finished writing my fourth briefing on my case load. I don't know why Jazmine decided to call out sick, the agency was supposed to send over a replacement.
