Alex meets Nala

Alex's: POV
I was in the car on my way over to Olivia's house
We've only been seeing each other for two months sometimes it feels longer than that today l'm meeting her daughter for the first time that's why l swing by the toys store and picked up her little gift as a peace offering
I want this thing with me and Olivia to work out. My last relationship failed cause the woman who l was dating cheated on me, it was safe to say she wasn't the one for l supposed. I can't believe l didn't see the signs something was going on when she would cancel our date nights
This time around l'm gonna do things differently, Olivia doesn't strike me as a person who would be unfaithful
I really enjoy spending time with her but now l think l'm falling in love with Olivia. I don't wanna scare her off by telling her how l feel, Alex pulls up to Olivia's house and parks the car behind Olivia's black SUV. Alex grabs the bags and exits the vehicle she makes sure to lock all the doors. Then Alex walks up the walk way, the blonde spots Olivia outside watering her garden and l spot a brown skin little girl riding a bike. I didn't creep up on them and scare them, so l cleared my throat Olivia turns around to see me standing there. Hey love l was thinking about you
Olivia said as she takes off her gardening gloves, l told you when we spoke over the phone l was coming over after I got through running my errands Alex replies, sometimes l forget your a lawyer come on over l don't bite she says to me. I watch the interaction between Olivia and her daughter, the little girl comes over to me and introduced herself as Nala. It's a pleasure to meet you sweetheart your mommy has told me so much about you Alex winks at Nala, mommy told me you were coming over Nala States. Your mom tells me that you like puzzles so l brought a small present Alex hands Nala the gift bag
Thank you she smiles as she looks inside the bag, mommy Alex got me a princess puzzle Nala beams with excitement
Alex you don't have to buy Nala anything Olivia stated
You do know l have two nieces of my own we'll one of them is practically grown but the other is eight Alex explains. Come on inside l made a fresh pitcher of ice tea
A while ago it should be nice and cold, Olivia replies
So l follow her in the house. Nala puts her bike up
We walk up the steps, l see them remove their shoes
I take off mine as well. We go up another flight of stairs Nala runs off to go play, Alex takes a seat in the living room. While Olivia heads to the kitchen to get us something to drink, l look at the pictures of Nala as a baby
Then l see some of Olivia and a older woman beside her
This must be her mother. Liv you have a lovely home Alex States, thanks Olivia replied as she hands me a glass filled with ice. I take a sip mmm refreshing Alex couldn't believe how thirsty she was, l was thinking we could order in instead of going out I've been busy cleaning up and grading Olivia explains trust me I get it l had to stop by work earlier to finish up some paper work for a deposition l have on Monday morning at 10:00 am Alex smiles at Olivia turned on the television so her and alex can watch a movie. Liv logged into her Netflix account
Olivia hands Alex the remote control while she goes to get the take out menus, before she did that Olivia went to check up Nala who was in her room playing. Mommy l'm getting hungry Nala says, alright baby what do you want to eat Olivia asks Nala. The girl thinks for a minute mommy can l get those noodles from that restaurant we ate at, said Nala. Alright baby Olivia replies, Liv goes to the living room and sees Alex sitting on the couch
Sweetheart did you see anything on Netflix you wanted to watch, Alex smiles at the term endearment Olivia refer to her as. Erm not yet Alex says, Olivia took a seat next to Alex. I was thinking we could order some Chinese Olivia stated, l love Mr Wong's sesame chicken and general TOS chicken Alex points to the menu. Sounds good Liv speaks
