Stef's: POV
Since we've been back from new York things have been a little chaotic. Lena caught the flu on our return home
So I still had time off from work, my sweet Francesca
Was busy catching up on some school work. My oldest daughter Callie hasn't returned any of my calls l'm beginning to get kinda of worried about her cause she's hasn't bothered to call and check in like she normally does
I am two seconds away from booking a flight and heading down to that university to find out what the hell is going on with her. This wasn't like her to be distant from her family, Lena keep saying she'll come around my wife can be a little naive at times. The holidays were fastly approaching, Alex texted me to tell me she and mother were back in town. This would be the first time my father won't be here, it's hard to believe he's gone and l won't hear his voice on the phone when he calls to check up on us. I haven't been able to sleep much cause my mind is going stir crazy worrying about Callie l'm sitting down in the kitchen drinking a cup of chamomile tea Lena's says that Callie is stubborn like me, l had to laugh it off at the time. Because I knew it was true Callie and I were so much alike, even though she said part of my DNA in her blood
When Lena went through the IVF process we wanted to have our eggs mixed together so each of our children had a mixture of both of us the Callie has my hazel eyes but she Lena's complexion. I believe Francesca is a mini version of Lena even down to the curly sandy brown hair
Francesca's lite honey colored eyes, baby when are you doing out bed Stef asks a pale face Lena. I came in here to get a bottle water from the fridge is that okay with you
Lena replies harshly, Lena gets cranky when she's sick
So l don't pay it no mind cause l'm use to it. You should have texted me l would have brought it up to you
What happened to the drinks l put in the small refrigerator in the corner Stef inquires, l ran out Lena takes a seat across the table from me and she unscrewed the cap off the bottle and drinks it slowly then she begins coughing. See this is why you should be in bed remember what the doctor said for you to be resting Stef said
I'm tired of laying around and not doing anything Lena replies. Do you think you can eat something without gagging Stef States, everything tastes bland except the chicken broth you made for me yesterday Lena says to me
Did Callie call back you yet Lena asked. I'm telling love something is definitely wrong with Callie she refuses to come home now, l'm getting and tired of all this nonsense
About her wanting to gain her independence but at what cost. Stef was beginning to get Misty eye she held back her tears, Lena was feeling the same extra way Callie's absence was causing a rift in their household she knew that she couldn't make her daughter come home Callie was twenty one years old. Lena hated to see what this was doing to her wife, Stef and Callie was so close at one point until she got older their relationship slowly drifted apart.
