10. Run

Richard gave presentations for new joiners. He came to me "Is something wrong?" he asked me

"Nothing" I said

"Oh! really! then are you awestruck with that guy" he said showing Sid. I was shocked

"Not really" I laughed away "you jealous?" I teased him

"Of course" he pouted

"I never knew you had this cute side" I said scrunching my nose. He flicked my nose. We were smiling for no reason.

Richard POV

"Do you wanna join for lunch?" I asked Mila

"Hmmmmmmmmm" she was humming cutely

"Is that yes?" I asked her.

"Food on company?" she asked me

I smiled "On me" I said

She rolled her eyes. "yep"

She is the cutest. "Okay. We will go to nearby Italian store. Wait here, I'll bring the new joiners too" her face changed. She nodded.

I went to the conference room where all the new employees. "Hey new buddies. Today lunch is on company. We will go to Italian restaurant. Please be near the gate in 5minutes" I informed

I joined Mila. "We will leave in 5min" I said. She nodded. I hugged her. She looked confused. "I know something is going on your little head. Stop overthinking" she got relaxed

"I have big head" I laughed

"It's smaller than mine" I said squeezing her head

"Hey Richard" I turned to look at Sid, our new employee with everybody.

"We can go I guess" I said. I pulled hands of Mila and held while walking.

I've to admit, I'm kind of jealous with Sid. I've never seen him before but for some reason the way Mila sees Sid makes me feel jealous.

We went to the hotel. I sat near Mila. "I'll have carbonara and lime soda" Mila ordered

I ordered Pizza and everybody ordered their food.

She was eating in silence. "Sid, where did you study?"

"I graduated from Zittau University" he said

"Really? Mila is also from Zittau" I said

"I did masters and he graduated bachelors in mechanical engineering" Mila said. Now, I can understand. But I can feel some kind of connection between them. I don't want to doubt her or be jealous but sometimes I couldn't control.

Sid looked uncomfortable. "Yes, we were in same club. It's been very long seeing you here" he said with a smile.

"Yes, it's been very long" Mila said

Something has happened

"I have some work to do. I'm leaving now. We will see later" Mila said.

I pulled her hand and kissed her cheeks. She went away.

Others were still eating.

"Do you like her?" Sid asked me

"Yes" I said without any hesitation

"I can see. She is a great girl. Hold on to her" he said

"What does it mean?" I asked her

"It means, don't give up on her" he said

"What do you think about her?" I asked him

"She is awesome" he said

"Do you think she likes me?" I asked her with hopes

"I guess so"

"How?"

"She doesn't like PDA" he said. Now, I'm kind of concerned. How does he know? What's their relationship? "Stop doubting on yourself" I kind of hate him but I still need help from him

We were walking back to office

"Do you know what she likes?" I asked him

"She likes home made food, watching horror movie, going out with perfectly planned date" Sid said

"Really?" I wondered "Thanks. Are you coming today for the party?" I asked him

"Yep" he said

Mila POV

I should stop oversharing.

I'm not gonna mess my career because of Sid. I'm brave enough to face him. "Are you still working?" Richard asked me.

I feel guilty for using him to avoid Sid.

"Yep. You?" I asked him back

"Yes. I'm totally ready for tonight's party" he said

"Don't drink too much" I said. He laughed.

"Okay! I'll gather people" he said

I finished all my task today. I'm not ready for tonight's party. Usually they don't throw parties in Office. Since, today is Friday and new joiners day, they planned for a small welcome party. I really wanna enjoy the e party but I don't think i'll.

I walked down. I saw all were in the room. With bottles of beer one side and food on other side. My eye met Sid. He looked.... whatever. I'm not gonna think about him anymore.

"Happy 1st day" I said to the freshers and they all clapped.

Everybody started to drink. I called Richard "I need to leave"

"Why?"

"I forgot about something I need to do. We will meet on Monday. Bye" I said quickly and walked out.

Is this gonna be my life? My heart can't stop racing.

Why can't I live peacefully like others?

Am I pushing myself hard?

I moved on... I guess

Why is my heart aching for someone I despise?

I took the bus to my house.

I ran away again

Sid POV

Why?

Why do I have to get entangled again?

I don't know what kind of sign is this?

Same city

Same street

Same company now

Should I run away like last time?
