•°Corinne's POV°•
Waking up to a dead quiet house was unusual for me. I quickly took a bath and got dressed for the day, and made my way downstairs, no sign of mom anywhere. I started cleaning the place, since I wasn't suppose to meet up with Beverly until a little later, and I try my best to clean the house as much as I could when my mom isn't around.
Getting rid of all the alcohol bottles and trash laying around, it already looked a lot better. I did the dishes, making sure everything is spotless, dusted everything that needed to be dusted, vacuumed the carpets, sweeped and mopped the floors. Our little place finally looked like a real home again, I always hope it would help mom feel a little bit better, in the long run.
Looking at the time, I realized I was gonna be late for sure, so I bolted out of the house, running down the street, straight to Beverly's place.
When I got to her place, out of breath, I realized I could just have climbed on my bike at drove here, and of course Beverly was laughing at me, "Why didn't you ride here?" Bev asks between giggles. "I needed some exercise," I made up an excuse, but she didn't believe me.
"Okay, so what are we doing today?" I ask her, looking around the small town. "We'll figure it out, but can we just make a stop somewhere I need to get some things." Bev said, "Yeah, sure thing. Let's go!" I said, as we start to walk to where ever she wants to go.
"So, what did you write in Ben's yearbook yesterday?" Beverly asks in her curious voice. "I have no idea what your talking about." I denied, she would only make fun of me. "Come on, Cori, please tell me." Bev begged, "Promise you won't laugh at me." I said looking away, embarrassed.
"I promise." I cleared my throat, I leaned towards her whispering to her what I have written down in his yearbook, I didn't want anyone else to hear what I wrote, I stood back avoiding eye contact. "Aren't you the romantic." Bev said chuckling, after awhile of silence, we arrived at the shop.
Standing in the the womanly row, I stood patiently waiting for Bev to get what she needs. She was only standing there staring at everything, but I wouldn't ask her any questions or what's actually going on, she would only end up freaking out again. Bev finally took what she needed,we avoided going down the next isle, because Gretta appeared in it, "See you later, Dad." How I wish I could just drown her.
The next isle, standing there looking at us like deer caught in headlights were Bill, Stanley and my dearest friend, Eddie. "You guys okay?" The Denbrough boy asked us. I was trying to figure out why Eds had so many medical supplies in his arms, it was indeed suspicious.
"We're fine. What's wrong with you?" Bev asked too quickly, I could trace a bit of annoyance in her voice. "None of your business!" Stanley snapped back at her, I glare at the boy. "No need to be so snappy, Stanny" I told him.
"There's a kid outside looked like someone killed him." Eddie told us honestly. I smiled at the boy. "We need s-s-some supplies, but we don't have enough money." Bill said. I turn to look at Beverly, but noticed she was already staring at me, she had an idea, and I would hate it in the end.
"I like your glasses Mr Keene. You look just like Clark Kent." Bev sweetly said to the pervert also known as the witch's father. "Oh..." he laughs at Bev, "I don't know about that." I felt like I could stab my eyes out, watching this. "Can I try them?" Bev asked sweetly, pointing to his glasses.
He looks around, before he takes them off, "Mmm, sure." Bev chuckles softly before putting them on. "What do you think?" Mr Keene leans forward on the counter with a creepy smile. "Well, how about that? You look just like Lois Lane." he said looking at her. I think I just threw up in my mouth. Beverly chuckles once again, asking, "Really?" The creep only nodded his head.
Bev takes the glasses off, when she gave it back, she also knocked of the smoke stand from the counter. "Shoot, I'm so sorry." Beverly apologized. "It's okay!" Mr Keene said before crunching down to pick everything up. I turn to the boys signaling them to go and make a run for it. Eddie ran into the rack on their way out, I shook my head at them smiling.
