Ben is driving a while after the final battle in Ultimate Alien and ends up in a portal to another world.
Ben doesn't get the new Omnitrix due to Azimuth not finishing it yet.

"Paradox why did you build the Map of Infinity?" Ben asks.
"Some men see a nature preserve...other a Hunting Ground." Paradox says.

"No." Paradox says just as a speaker shouts in full blast 'IT AIN'T MEEE!"

"Heyyy Azmuth." Trixie said.
"Trixie. I was under the impression you were still in the True Omnitrix." Azmuth said crossing his arms.
"Yeah uh about that..." She went quiet.
"Speak, Machine Spirit." Grey said.
"Quiet fake-o." Trixie said.
"I was intended you were a mistake." Grey said.
"I was made to run the Omnitrix right Azmuth?" Trixie said.
"From a Certain point of view." Azmuth said "I had thought to allow you to join the True Omnitrix because it was believed you would be a proper AI companion but I hadn't know your behavior was so under developed."
"Where did you hear that?" She asked looking anywhere for her to get away from the out right hate look on Grey's face and the usual 'I'm not mad I'm disappointed' from Azmuth.
"Ben sent me the memory of your conversation last night. Just sent it and said 'I'm too tired for this shit right now'." Grey said.
"You can access Ben's memories?" Trixie asked.
"He can send them. Only give willingly." Grey says before slowly turning to Azmuth "Not taken. I didn't think you were going after those or I'd have ripped you off that console."
"I wasn't." Azmuth said "The Crystal was the only thing I was trying to Examine."
"Solid Data Clusters often don't see the difference between energy." Zeno said "It would appear the crystal is translating Omni and Mana into a form the Ultimatrix can handle and from the looks its not realizing the difference."
"But Ben doesn't have Mana!" Trixie says.
"Mana is life energy." Grey said "If he didn't have any he'd be dead."
"Without a spark Ben's Mana pool would be completely untouched."
"And since Ben never missed a meal, keeps a healthy fitness routine and mostly gets enough sleep he's at peak efficiency in the Mana department." Grey said.
Azmuth said "Is his Mana pool being used to store Omni?!"
"Maybe." Zeno said "But back on topic. Trixie."
"What is your problem?" Grey asked.
"I wanna go back with Ben but he doesn't want something else that can influence his decisions." Trixie said "If he wasn't such a dumbass most of the time-"
