Running never seemed so impossible to me, but in this moment, it was the most difficult thing I have experienced. Holding down the pain from the ambush, the pain from my inner wounds and now Sebastian's pain. It seemed as though all of my worries were true.

His footsteps could be heard chasing mine, only causing me to run faster and with more haste. Tears now ran down my cheeks, clearing a path from the dirt and blood that covered my face. My breathing started becoming heavy as I came over a bridge and into another part of the castle, finding my way down a set of stairs and into the Annex.

Sebastian's footsteps seemed further away now, giving me a chance to run into the library and hoping to hide out there. I kept a hand on my arm, moving slowly as I made my way over to the farthest corner and sat in a small out-cove. No light came to this corner and no one seemed to have ever been in this area. I made the floor my new seat as I tried to bring my body to relax.

Taking a deep breath, I slid off my cloak and laid it across from me, looking down at my now ripped and tattered clothes. My energy was extinguishing quickly, my eyesight becoming blurry and a sharp pain coming to my head. So much was happening all at once it was too much to process. The only thing I knew to do was to lay my head against the bookshelf and hope no one would find me.

My last memory of this night is me closing my eyes as tears fought their way to run down my cheeks.

The pain in my head was gone, however, everywhere else still hurt. But what woke me up was not the pain, but someone touching my face with their hands and then running a hand down my arm with the cut. My heavy eyes opened and saw someone kneeling down. My vision was still slightly blurry, but soon cleared as I rubbed my eyes.

I tried to lean up some, but as soon as I moved my body, sharp pains shot in every direction. The person moved away from me, but kept a hand on my arm, feeling around the wound gently. My eyes went to the person and it caused me to want to cry out. "O-...Ominis? How-... How did you find me?" I didn't care for the pain. I leaned forward and wrapped my arms around him, hugging him tightly as tears began to threaten their appearance. But I didn't care for that either. I let out soft cries in his shoulder as his arms wrapped around mine. He stayed sitting on his knees, my whole body on his.

Ominis has never been around me when I have had my lowest days. But this....this may have been the thing that tops it all. His hand moved to the back of my head, as he handed me my wand. "Please.... I know you're in pain. Heal yourself...and tell me who did this to you. Tell me who hurt you." His expression showed anger, but an anger I've never seen, not even with Sebastian.

Taking my wand back, I cast the spell to myself. I stayed pressed against Ominis as I tried my best to fix up my clothing and even the other injuries surrounding my body. After taking care of that, I set my wand down and wiped away any stray tears left. "Poachers last night found out where I was going to train.... Twelve- no...maybe fourteen? I can't recall....They all began to cast spells on me and some even had gotten physical. I had to run..." I held off saying anything about Sebastian. That was his best friend and I couldn't turn them against each other.

Ominis' grip became stronger, his head leaning against mine, "Those bastards...." His voice was very low, barely audible to me. I moved my head to face him, gently placing my hand on his shoulder "Ominis, please, I'm okay. They just sneaked up on me and caught me off guard. I won't let it happen again."

His face seemed to relax a bit, shaking his head, "I don't care. You could have gotten hurt worse..." He moved his hand to gently touch my cheek, feeling for the wound I had healed up. He moved a finger up closer to my temple, finally feeling the small scar that was slowly healing away. "They could have hurt you worse..." His voice smooth, almost as though Sebastian was speaking. I closed my eyes tightly, fighting back tears, only to have them fall down my cheeks.
