My body was screaming at me to lie down, telling me to give it a break to rest. Sebastian was already gone from the Undercroft, having decided that I needed some time alone. But as always, his eyes spoke for something else. He didn't want to leave. But of course, other things were settling around in his mind.

I decided I could use a few hours of sleep on the chase and since there were only a couple of days left before the new term, taking my time to prepare wouldn't be much of an issue. As I lay on the chase, I rested my hands on my chest and looked at the ceiling, thinking of how Sebastian looked at me. The way he held me in his arms as though he was going to lose me. He made me that potion without asking any questions.

It may seem so small to someone, but it was something that I couldn't look over. As much as I say I'm mad at him, he's finding ways of stopping that. The thought of everything he has done so far caused a small smile on my face, and my eyes closed. He truly knew how to charm a lady. I let a small laugh escape as I shook my head, rolling on my side. "Damn you Sallow..." I soon fell asleep, the thought of his arms wrapped around my body helping to soothe me.

----------------------------------

A gentle hand rested on my head, a shadow seeming to cast over me as I heard someone whispering something. My eyes slowly began to open, my head twisting to look at where the hand was coming from. Of course, it was Ominis, a look of concern yet satisfaction plastered on his face. "Are you just keeping track of where I sleep so you can come and stalk me?" My voice was a bit coarse from just waking up, a tired smile coming across my face.

Ominis kept his hand on my head and laughed gently, "Oh yes, of course. I make sure to keep tabs on you so I can be a creep and watch a girl sleep. Well, at least hear you sleep." He moved his free hand up and down his face to show me he couldn't see. I couldn't help the laugh that was let out as I shook my head. "Ominis, I swear on Merlin's beard, you're not right." He moved his hand away from my head and clasped his hands together. "Well, as it is only nine in the morning, care for some breakfast in the hall?"

My body seemed to feel fine, perfect even. Sitting up felt so nice as I stretched my arms to the ceiling, "Of course, I'm starved." Standing, I straightened my braid and saw my notepad on the table, open to a page that had writing that was not in there before.

Thank you for allowing me to hold you last night.

I promise to always help you even when you can't

stand to be around me.

I don't want to see you in pain.

I love you.

As I picked up the notepad, I read what was written and felt myself grip the pages ever so slightly. My chest felt as though another butterfly came to life and a spark flowed through me. Reading the end of the note caused something in me that I could not explain. It was a mix of confusion but also one of pleasure. This was so like Sebastian to make things so difficult for everyone, especially me.

As I put the notepad in my pocket, I turned to Ominis. "Ready to go?" I took a place next to him, following him out of the room and heading out into the castle.
