Surviving the Walking Dead (TWD FanFiction) Season 3

Episode 7

After some time Maggie had calmed her crying mostly and Glenn gave her his shirt. All the items in the room were cleared out except for the dead walker that Glenn managed to kill earlier. And they patched the hole in the wall that I made. I wasn’t able to clean my hands or wrap them up so they were very red and extremely irritated from what I had done. They even felt like they were burning up.

“Jade?...” Maggie sniffled as her red eyes turned to me and then to my hands where she reached over and took one to look at. The blood had dried up and created a wall, to prevent me from bleeding anymore “They're burning up” she mumbled and I pulled my hands away

“I’ll be fine...don’t worry about me” I assured her as I sat there then looked to Glenn who was just watching her with nothing but pain in his eyes at the idea of what happened to her. I knew he wanted to ask.

“Maggie, did he--”

“No” Maggie cut him off before he was able to ask the rest of the question and I think deep down he was grateful for it. “no...He bearly touched me” she assured him. I couldn’t see her face but I heard her voice enough. If we were being honest about him not going that far then she was just shaken up by the whole thing...or she was feeling ashamed for ‘allowing’ it to happen at all. “All this time, running from walkers...you forget what people do,...have always done” she mumbled 

“Look at what they did to you,” she said looking at Glenn and sounding angry but was still in tears. 

“Doesn’t matter” Glenn assured her as he turned away. “As long as he didn’t…” he was almost asking her again and she shook her head

“No. I promise” she choked up again. Without another second Glenn moved closer and pulled her to him for a hug, I winced at my hands as I opened and closed them to see how bad it was getting. If they didn’t kill me I’d die of infection

“Guys?....I hate to break a tender moment...but we gotta get out of here” I said and turned to look at Glenn who was looking at me over Maggie’s shoulder and nodded as he then pulled away from her then started to stand up with a groan as he held his side “what are you doing?" I asked confused as he slowly stumbled his way over to the walker body that was left in the room with us. We watched as he looked at the body then weakly reached down and grabbed the wrist then set his boot onto the chest and pulled it clear from the body.

I held back my gag as I watched what he did. Maggie jumped to her feet just as lost and with my hands becoming too sensitive Maggie hooked her arm under mine and helped me to my feet. We walked over to him and watched as he flipped the arm around so the palm was down then stomped on the elbow, cracking the arm in half and making sure the bone cut through the skin

“Okay, Glenn your my friend and all but what the hell?” I asked as he grabbed the flesh of the arm and pulled back to reveal the bone of the arm. I was starting to feel sick

“We need weapons” He mumbled tired as he cracked it in half then handed one to Maggie while he kept the other one

“I’ll get my own then-”

“No” Glenn blurted to me in a rush. I looked at him like he was crazy. “Your hands...we don’t know if walker blood can infect you or not...you can’t have one,” he said 

“So you want me to just fight with my bare hands?” I asked him

“a guard is bound to open the door sometime and they’re gonna have something on them...whatever it is you get” he explained. I hated being the one who was just here to look pretty and looked to Maggie almost to plead to her but she shook her head

“Glenn’s right….better to be safe than sorry” she whispered and I sighed seeing I was out numbered. 

“Okay,” I sighed and moved behind Glenn and Maggie as we waited at the door. The wait was longer than we wanted but when the door did finally click we all got ready. When it opened Glenn rushed out first then Maggie and I was close behind her to help her with the second guy seeing he had a gun and I grabbed it and while she stabbed him I just broke his arm to make him release it but he fired it out of pain before letting it go.
