Ariadne

In ancient times of myth and lore,
There lived a girl named Ariadne,
Blinded by love, she committed a crime,
Killing Alfonso, the king of the land,
For Cesare, the man she thought grand.

Her heart was consumed by passion,
Her mind, clouded by obsession,
She believed Cesare deserved the throne,
And killed his own brother, alone.

But fate has a way of its own,
And in her second life, Ariadne was thrown,
To relive her past and make it right,
To correct her mistakes and shine a light.

She was the only one who remembered,
Her past deeds, her heart dismembered, For in this life, she found a love,
For the one she killed, Alfonso, above.

Her heart was torn, her soul was shattered,
Her past actions, her conscience battered,
But she knew what she had to do,
To right her wrongs, to start anew.

She worked hard to gain redemption,
To make amends, to seek salvation,
She helped the people, she mended the land,
And finally, she found the strength to stand.

She faced her fears, she faced her past,
She apologized to those she had harassed,
And finally, she faced Alfonso,
To confess her sins and make things glow.

He forgave her, he understood,
And together, they made a vow,
To make the land a better place,
To put a smile on every face.

In the end, Ariadne found her peace,
She found love, and her soul, released, She learned that love is not blind,
And that true love can heal the mind.

The story plot is not my original, I just took inspiration from a webtoon I read. Titled "I'm The Queen in This Lifetime". I just made this poem dedicated to that webtoon.
