In Case You Die

In case you die,
Pluck the petals, one by one,
From a wilting rose.

Gaze at the sunset,
As it dips into the sea,
Taking with it light.

Listen to the wind,
Whisper secrets in your ear,
Of a life well-lived.

Feel the earth beneath,
Softly cradle your tired bones,
In a final rest.

In case you die,
Let nature be your solace,
As you journey on.
