After defeating their first four opponents at the Pokemon League competition, Y/N made it to the Indigo Stadium, where he faced his newfound friend, Ritchie, in the fierce fifth round. Y/N managed to defeat Ritchie and so is moving on to sixth round.
Announcer: Welcome back to our sixth round coverage of the Pokemon League competition! Only the most tenacious trainers and their Pokemon have made it to this level, so get ready! Some sensational battles are about to begin!
In the locker room, Y/N is giving a pep talk to his Pokemon.
Y/N: Well, we made it this far, guys. Let's go, all the way. Let's all do our best.
Then someone enters the locker room. It's Brock, Misty and Ritchie.
Y/N: Hey! What are you all doing here?
Ritchie: We just wanted to wish you good luck in the match today.
Y/N: Great. Thanks, guys.
Brock: And remember, you get to use six Pokemon in this match. Pick your best, and let them have it!
Misty: And make sure you don't choke.
Y/N: Right.
Ritchie: Y/N. I know you'll win. You're an awesome Pokemon trainer.
Y/N: I'll try to win this for both of us.
Ritchie: Good luck!
Outside in the stadium, the battle is well underway. Nidoqueen is on the field taking on a Rhydon. Then, Dodrio is facing off against a Venomoth. Then we see Electrode and Tentacool go at it. The screen whites out and comes back in as the match nears its conclusion.
Announcer: This match has been a real rollercoaster ride! Now they're both down to one Pokemon apiece, so whoever wins this battle wins the match!
Misty: You can do it!
Everyone else: Go, Y/N!
Even Sparky, Happy and Zippo are cheering for Y/N. While on the field, an Ivysaur materializes.
Announcer: Assunta has chosen Ivysaur as her final Pokemon!
Y/N: *gets out final Pokeball* It's all up to you. Go, Ninetales! *throws a Pokeball*
Ninetales materializes. Ivysaur then charges.
Y/N: Ninetales, Flamethrower now!
Ninetales fires, but Ivysaur dodges just barely. Ivysaur uses its vines to leap into the air and charges up a Solar Beam.
Announcer: And here comes Ivysaur's Solar Beam!
But before it could fire it.
Y/N: Fire Blast, go!
Ninetales intercepts the attack and fires a Fire Blast at the grass starter. The attack lands, sending Ivysaur falling down.
Assunta: Ivysaur!
Ivysaur struggles to get up.
Assunta: You can do it!
However, Ivysaur collapses.
Assunta: Ivysayr!
It's clear that Ivysayr is out, and so is Assunta.
Referee: Ivysaur is unable to battle! The match is over! Y/N is the winner!
Assunta's last Pokemon blacks out and Y/N is left on screen, his victory sealed.
Announcer: A spectacular finish to a spectacular match! Ninetales' Fire Blast just overpowered Ivysaur and Y/N is victorious!
