Mumbo's Perspective-

Mumbo walked into his vacation home with his mother.

His father had just opened the door and gone done to their van to pick up their suitcase.

"Well here it is!" Mumbo's mother smiled.

Mumbo looked around.

It was cozy.

There was a kitchen that was very close to the living room and dining room.

Stairs were in the far left, near a bathroom and a painting on the wall.

And of course, everything was beach themed.

"It seems every house on the beach is beach themed." Mumbo said.

His mother shrugged, "Stick with the theme, am I right?"

"Yeah, but doesn't it get old after a while?"

"I think it's lovely."

Mumbo shrugged as he walked upstairs.

"Er- mom, my room's upstairs, right?"

His mother nodded, "Yep! Two rooms up there and one bath. Your room's right next to the bathroom."

Mumbo walked upstairs and turned right.

He saw his bedroom right next to the restroom.

He opened his bedroom door and looked around.

This is nice. He thought as he laid down his suitcase next to the bed which had a blue blanket and white sheets on it.

And a bunch of sea creature pillows, of course.
Mumbo put the pillows on a nearby chair since they were very uncomfortable.

Good thing I brought my own pillow.

Mumbo put his white pillow on the white sheets.

He then turned towards the dresser and saw a picture above it.

It was a picture of a red parrot in the jungle.

That must be the only thing in this room that's not beach themed.

Mumbo stared at it, feeling a sense of familiarity before shrugging and putting his clothes in the drawers.

-

"Hey Mumbo, sweetie, do you wanna go into town and find a place to eat?"

"Sure." Mumbo shrugged, grabbing his shoes and tying them on.

"Great!" His mother clapped her hands, "I'm gonna go grab your father."

She left and Mumbo got up.

He grabbed his phone and saw that there were several messages from Oli.

Mumbo chuckled lightly as he called his friend.

"Mumbo!" Oli said cheerfully as he answered.

"How was the flight?" He asked.

"Okay. Bit tired." Mumbo said before yawning.
"I imagine; it's a long flight from Narrowsburg."

"I'm about to go and get some food, so I'll call you back later, alright?"

"'Kay. Don't have too much fun without me."

Mumbo laughed, "Trust me. I'd rather be home."

They then hung up and Mumbo walked downstairs and into his father's car.

-

Mumbo was walking in front of his parents who were talking about what else they were planning for the summer.

Mumbo, though, was busy looking around the town.

Sure, he hated to be away from his home and his friends, but Florida was a beautiful place.

His phone then buzzed, and he checked it.

It was a message from Pix, telling him to have fun and to send him pictures.

Oli must've told him how I'm going out into town.

Mumbo rolled his eyes and laughed as he texted his friend back.

Since he wasn't looking where he was going, he walked straight into someone and stumbled backwards.

He heard someone yelp and fall.

He opened his eyes and saw someone on the ground.

"I'm so sorry!" Mumbo said, pocketing his phone and stretching out a helping hand.

The guy who fell looked up at Mumbo.

They looked...familiar, but Mumbo couldn't put his finger on it.

"It's alright!" They smiled.

The guy took Mumbo's hand and Mumbo pulled him up.

"I shouldn't be looking at my phone when walking. That's my fault." Mumbo said, scratching the back of his head awkwardly.

"Mumbo? You alright?"

Mumbo turned around and his mother made eye contact with the stranger.

Her face lit up as tears formed in her eyes.

"Grian!" She shrieked, hugging the guy, "How are you?"
