Grian's Perspective-

So since the last chapter kind of switched over to Mumbo's perspective, this chapter's gonna be Grian's perspective

Grian sighed as he changed into his pajamas.

His regular red sweater and gray sweatpants.

He was staying at a hotel that had two separate rooms. Grian's parents were watching TV in the other.

He laid in bed and scrolled through his photos, pausing and blushing at every photo he had with Scar.

Just then, Grian's phone started ringing.

He smiled and blushed as he answered the call from Scar.

"Hey G!"

"Hey Scar."

"How was your day in sunny Florida?"

"Good. Kind of weird, but good."

"How was it weird?"

"Well, I ran into, like physically, ran into my childhood friend, Mumbo."

"Is that the Mumbo Jumbo guy you used to talk about? The one who used to live in my house but moved up to New York?"

"Er- yeah! How do you remember that?"

"I listen."

Grian scoffed, "You don't listen."

"Yes, I do!"

"Tell me one thing we learned in math last year."

"Adding letters and numbers."

"One of the systems we learned."

"Uh------- give me a sec..."

Grian heard rustling and Scar mumbling,
"Where's my notebook..."

"HEY! That's cheating!" Grian shouted, a smile on his face.

"Polynomials? Is that it?" He asked between laughs.

Grian laughed, "That's cheating!"

"You never said I couldn't look!"

Grian giggled and shook his head.

"But yeah, how was hanging out with Mumbo?"

"It was...fun."

"Yeah?"

"Yeah... I mean, we just kind of talked. He started calling me Birdie again."

"Call you what?" Scar asked, sounding a bit hurt.

"Birdie. It's uh- a nickname that he gave me because my favorite animal is a bird, you know that."

"Oh..." Scar trailed off.

"So he er- gave you that sort of...pet name?" Scar asked.

"What?!" Grian felt his face heat up, "No, no! It's nothing like that. We're just friends."

Scar hummed and then said,
"Oh uh- sorry G, my mom's calling me, I gotta go."

"Oh...okay. I have to go to bed soon anyway."

"Yeah. Bye."

"Bye."

Scar hung up and Grian felt terrible.

He sighed as he closed his phone.

He looked out the window and felt guilty.

He probably just assumed I told him that I love Mumbo.
