Oli's Perspective-
Oli threw on his panda hat.
It was a new day.
Sunday.
He was planning on hanging out with Mumbo and Pix today.
Pix wanted to talk to Mumbo about Grian, so he invited them to the movies.
"Mumbo won't think we're gonna mention anything about Grian if we just watch a movie together." Pix told Oli when he asked why they were going to catch a movie if they wanted to talk to Mumbo about Grian.
Oli grabbed his sweater and jumped into his father's car.
"Ready?" He asked.
"Yep!" Oli nodded, strapping in.
His father chuckled.
"What?" Oli asked.
"You still wear that panda hat your mother gave you all those years ago."
"Of course!" Oli smiled, "She made it for me."
Oli's father started driving towards the theatre.
They were going to watch the new Puss in Boots movie.

"Bye dad!" Oli said, stepping out of the car.
"Bye! Text me when you're ready to get picked up!"
"Okay!"
Oli shut the door and walked over to Pix who smiled and blushed.
"Where's Mumbo?" Oli asked.
"Oh, er- about that," Pix coughed awkwardly, "Yeah he had to cancel."
"What?!"
Pix nodded and showed Oli their messages.
"He said that his parents didn't want him going out today and that they wanted to spend some quality time together. They just told him this today."
"Damn." Oli said, "I would hate it if my dad did that with me."
Pix chuckled, "Same."
They fell into a bit of an awkward silence and then Oli said, "So...should I text my dad to pick us up or are we still gonna watch the movie?"
Pix flushed pink, "Oh, well I still kinda wanted to watch it. But if you don't want to that's fine-"
"No, I still wanna watch it! It's got great reviews! Screw Mumbo, we don't need him to watch a movie."
Pix laughed and they walked into the theatre together.
And even though Oli didn't show it,
His heart was fluttering, and he was a bit happy that Mumbo didn't show.

Oli stretched as the movie was over.
He and Pix got up, both talking about the movie.
"Honestly, I never really watched Shrek, but this movie was really good!" Pix said.
"You never watched Shrek?"
Pix chuckled, "Well, I have seen it, but that was when I was really little. I just remember not liking it."
Oli narrowed his eyes which made Pix laugh again.
