It was 11:45 at night, I couldn't sleep without my boyfriend Yeonjun beside me so I decided to look out the window waiting for him to return. And now I've been staring at the trees and the street lamp for half an hour... It was getting boring as fvck... "Haaa..." I signed for the Nth time my graze was still out the window.
I blinked a couple of times and rubbed my eyes beginning to get sleepy, but my sleepy ness quickly disappeared as a couple of raindrops hit the window. I stood up in the excitement and glanced at the clock. It was 11:55 pm. "Not many people would be out now right...? RIGHT!" I rushed downstairs being as existed as a child who is going to the theme park for the 1st time.
'Midnight rains are scary... And romantic!' I thought to myself getting more excited. I bust open the door and walked out in the cold rain with my black t-shirt and shorts. It felt like ice cubes falling on me... It did hurt but I was overly excited to feel it. Well, I know what's gonna come up to me the next day... But who cares? Midnight spring rains are the best.
I twirled around feeling the cold drops of water touching my skin. Luckily there wasn't a thunderstorm, I continued to dance to the music of rain for God knows how long and stopped as the rain seemed to not touch me but is still pouring around me. I looked up to see an umbrella above me.
"Have you lost your mind?" I heard a familiar voice and pushed the umbrella aside with a soft smile. "Maybe I am?" I turned around and replied to Yeonjun who was wearing a rain court and giving me a so-done look. "You'll get cold!" he whined as he again raised the umbrella above my head. "Well, I don't care~" I giggled and walked away from the umbrella.
"Join me if you want! But I'm not gonna come in for at least 10 minutes." I gave him a wide smile and turned around continuing my dance. After a few minutes, someone pulled me by my wrist making me bump into their hard chest. "Agh. Yeonjun!" I playfully hit his chest 'cause I was startled. He was without his raincoat or umbrella.
"I wanna dance too." he held my waist pulling me close to him and whispered in my ears. I grabbed his shoulders and danced as he lead. He bent down a little and attached his forehead to mine as we both giggled in a union. After a couple of minutes, he suddenly lifted me like lifting a bag of feathers as I hugged his waist with both my legs. "Haha~ What?" I asked giggling as his eyes were fixed on mine.
"Kiss me," he demanded as I smiled and lifted his chin and kissed him as he asked. He pulled away a little his lips still touching mine. "Happy Birthday, love." he smiles again kissing me and taking me by surprise. Suddenly fireworks sounds were heard as I pulled away and got down from him looking at the sky where the rain was still pouring down from.
"There nothing up there..." I asked as I couldn't find any fireworks. "Th-that's because it was my alarm sound," he said as he looks at me and I look at him before both of us started to laugh. "Ahh, I'm so dumb," I said holding my tummy after laughing for a good minute.
"Ok now let's go in come on! We have a date today it's a special day after all," he said pushing me inside as I giggled as walked in. "Happy Birthday again babe~," He said hugging me again as I smiled.
