I searched for the answers, for resolution.
A cause, a cure, something to me keep moving. In just three years so much has changed.
My voice, my strength, and my day to day.More, and more this disease will seize.
Nerves withering down, paralyzing me.Healthy, and young, this wasn't supposed to happen.
Alas, it did. Now, all I can do, is fight to stay. With all that's unanswered, fight to stay.
How do I be me with Lou Gehrig's disease?
Author's Note:
Challenge Prompt
Doesn't rhyme like the other's did. More of a free style. Maybe a little too personal. The last three years I have been stuck with ALS/Lou Gehrig's disease. When I saw the word seize, the first thing I thought of is the parts of my body that have literally seized because of ALS. Hopefully it's still enjoyable to read.
