Overwhelmed

Once lonely, longing for someone to love me back.
A puzzle missing it's last few pieces.
Destined to be left unsolved, unfinished... undone.
Rejection came, and failed attempts, and ex lovers I regret.
All my love bursting at the seams, was scary or so it seems.
Overwhelmed by this emptiness, longing to find love.
How come I wasn't loving myself the way I loved someone else?
No more lovers hide-and-seek, I would love myself, that's all I need.
If someone else is out there for me, we will meet.
Then one day we did, and all the pieces fit.

Challenge Prompt

A little different of a style, than what I was doing for April Showers. I got into a rhythm of rhyme, and I wanted to try something different for today's prompt.
