Dark flames, dark lightning: Since the awakening of his sacred gear, Joe's ability to control flames and lightning has evolved into black flames and black lightning.
Minor light control: Contrary to his powers over flames and lightning, Joe's ability to manipulate holy light has weakened due to the darkness energy provided by Tenebris. While he can still use light to attack, it takes significantly more energy.

Abilities:
Assimilate: When an opponent is severely weakened, Joe can use his sacred gear to absorb their soul into his own body, which will kill the opponent and strengthen Joe. Caution about trying this, stronger opponents can be resistant or even outright immune to this ability.
Triple: The sacred gear can triple its wielders power every ten seconds, but it doesn't have to. Joe can store up multiple boosts to stay in the fight longer instead of tripling his power to a point where his body can't handle it. Current limit of triples without going overboard is three. For reference tripling his power three times is equal to 27 times his base power
Dragon shot: By creating a golf ball sized sphere of dragon energy, Joe can unleash a portion of his stored up power in a massive blast that deals severe damage, but it also allows him to boost his power again.
