There were a couple of minor changes in this chapter, but not many.
Ely:
Shawn and Dominic were the only ones to take the driving test. I sat on the couch in the viewing room with Dominic and Jordan. Shawn was getting into the car he was going to be using. The demonstrations of his abilities were fairly straight forward. He was decent at driving, but he didn't do any fancy tricks.
My problem was figuring out where he was going. The camera followed his car as he drove. He continued to quickly take various turns until I was so lost that I finally looked at the map that was sitting on the end table next to the couch.
I was so lost that it was ridiculous. This would be one of the reasons I hated driving. I had spent hours studying road maps and attempting to make sense of them, but it didn't seem to help. The truth was I couldn't find my way out of a paper bag while in a vehicle. I was fine on foot, but in a car? I just couldn't do it.
I alternated between watching the car and looking at the map. By the fifth turn Shawn had made, I was completely lost again and I sighed. Dominic glanced at me and then did a double take. "Kitten, you're holding the map upside down, if you're attempting to follow where he's going."
I felt my cheeks heat up and quickly flipped the map correctly. After glancing between Shawn's impressive maneuvers and the map, I finally gave up and tossed the map aside.
Dominic gets his turn to drive not long after that. He hopped in the dark orange sports car and as soon as they gave the signal, he shot off like a rocket. At one point, I was fairly sure that he was just showing off, because he spun in two cookies as he took a corner before speeding off in the direction he had been headed in originally.
Jordan let out a hoot and started yelling encouragement at Dominic, even though he couldn't hear us. I giggled and Jordan glanced at me as he sent me a wink.
Dominic:
I relaxed a bit as I sped the car into the homestretch and then slammed on the brakes. I enjoyed driving and it relaxed me. I also showed off a bit for the others. I was fairly certain that it would impress Kitten, and I wasn't really sure why, but I really wanted to impress her.
I hopped out of the dark orange Jaguar and handed the keys to the attendant. I whistled under my breath as I met the rest of my team in the viewing room. "Damn, did you see that?" Jordan asked with excitement. Shawn and Jordan were both standing close to the screen, watching the reply of my driving. I felt myself blush a little, but stepped fully into the room. I was a little surprised when Ely suddenly whispered, "You were amazing!"
I felt my cheeks heat again and I gave her a small smile as I said, "Are we about ready for dinner now? I'm starving."
"Fuck, yes!" Jordan exclaimed.
Shawn pinched the bridge of his nose and I chuckled, "Jordan, please watch your language." He said it as if he had repeated those words frequently.
Ely:
We were in the dining hall and the boys were eating dinner. I had already eaten a chicken salad, so I was waiting for the others to finish. The way Jordan was talking though, we'd probably be here all night while he verbally relived every moment of Dominic's driving.
I shivered slightly as I suddenly felt as if I were being watched. "Are you okay, Baby?" Shawn asked.
I nodded, "Yeah, I think so." I murmured. I glanced around the cafeteria discretely. I finally met Jasmine's eyes from across the room. She and her posse were staring at me angrily, but then Jasmine stood up and started walking in our direction.
