Ruby managed to beat Y/n in their race to Vale city. He could've just used Dimensional Vanish to go behind a random shop, but sometimes you gotta play fair. Unfortunately, the downside of playing fair in a race is the likely-hood of tripping and falling flat on your face.

Ruby: So, where do you wanna go first?
Y/n *muffled*: Well, first of all. *pulls face out of the ground* Why not the arcade? I think it'll be fun, as something of a minigame connoisseur myself.
Ruby: A wha?
Y/n: It means I have experience in building theme parks. Can't expect me to just laze around the Starcutter while Kirby and co. repair it, can you? I even taught a child how to build giant robots!

Y/n pov:

Ruby: SORRY!
Well at least it can't get any wor- oh you've got to be kidding me. She pulls me onto her back kinda like how Blake did the one time. Is this just a thing with these people? Only, she isn't concentrating on keeping me as high up on her back. Crud. If she keeps running like this then- wait!
Y/n: RUBY! COOKIE SHOP, THREE O-CLOCK!
Ruby *stops immediately*: WHERE!?
Phew, quick save there. Was worried I'd fall off... I hop off of Ruby's back before fixing my tunic. Lets just say it got a "little" ruffled in that whole mess. No, seriously. It got creased up big time.
Ruby: You good?
Ruby pov:
Y/n: I'm okay, just a little shaken.
Something's off... eh, it's probably nothing.
Ruby: Where's that cookie shop you mentioned?
Y/n points at a bakery. How did I miss that? I wonder what his favorite flavor is... I turn back to him to see him lying face-down on the floor.
Y/n: Don't mind me, just need a few moments to un-dizzy- *dramatic inhale and exhale* okay, I'm gonna say this in the nicest way possible, could you please not stand so close.
