"HOW WAS SCHOOL?"
Happy's unusually cheery voice met Aster's ears as soon as she opened the passenger's door of the Rolls Royce. He eyed Aster wearily as she slid into her seat. "Good," Aster chirped, tossing her bag into the backseat. "But I'm starving, can we stop somewhere for food?"
When Happy didn't respond, Aster turned to stare at him. The shock on his face didn't slip her notice. "What?"
"School was good?"
"...Yeah."
"Oh," Happy let out, shifting the car into drive. He pulled away from the curb and focused on the road with a hint of a relieved smile on his face. "That's good. I was expecting a breakdown."
