ASTER STOOD IN her bedroom at the Compound, staring at herself in the mirror. She truly couldn't understand how five years had passed, yet she still looked and felt seventeen.

Noticing how exhausted the teenager was, Steve and Natasha insisted that she should try to get some sleep. She went to her room to change out of her hospital gown and into comfortable pajamas, surprised to see that it was the same as she had left it. Her bed was messily made and her nightstand had her belongings strung across it. The string lights hanging over her bed were still crooked, though they had built up a layer of dust over them. Sitting on Aster's bed was her school bag, which she was surprised made it back safely. She breathed a sigh of relief when she saw that Peter's keychain was still hanging off of the front zipper.
