THE BATTLEFIELD BEGAN filling with ash moments after Aster snapped her fingers.
The Black Order began crumbling to pieces, one by one. Disappearing into dust like the Avengers once had. Thanos peered around, the defeat evident on his face as he watched all he worked for blowing away in the breeze.
Limping over to the nearest rock, Thanos eased himself down. He took one last glance at Aster, who hadn't taken her eyes off of him, before breathing out one final sigh. Then, he turned to dust as well.
Unable to hold herself up anymore, Aster felt a strange wave of weakness consume her. She dropped her powers, letting the stones fall away from her hand. Her body shook as she gave in, finally letting herself slump to the ground. But just before she could hit the dirt, two shaking hands slipped underneath her.
