CHAPTER FORTY-THREE
❝ endings, beginnings ❞
"IT IS MY honor to present this Medal of Honor to one of America's favorite heroes, Miss Starlight."
The audience erupted with applause right after the President spoke. Instead of the masked hero that the world knew and loved, Tony Stark was the one to stand from his seat and approach the podium. Flashes of light illuminated his figure as paparazzi began snapping pictures, something he was quite used to. Running a hand down the front of his suit, Tony offered his usual charming smile to the crowd. "With respect to her privacy, Starlight wasn't able to make it today. You're all stuck with me instead."
Laughter rang out from the crowd, making Tony smirk. He pulled out a piece of paper from inside of his jacket and unfolded it, laying it down on the podium. "Don't worry, I have some words from my daughter." Chatter buzzed across the people listening. Sure, everyone studied the relationship between Starlight and Iron Man closely, but he hadn't confirmed what everyone was speculating about until that point. "And let me tell you, she writes a better speech than I ever have."
