Resolute plowed through the waves, her hull cutting through the foam with ease, her sleek form cruising along the seas.

The storm was battering her hull, as she smashed through meters tall waves, the inky black water drenching her armored form.

Placing a hand to her rigging, she turned slightly to her side, a drone launching from her rails soon after with a sharp jerk, bright yellow trails following the small but agile craft as it soared through the air, cutting through the haze of rain and mist, Resolute nodded in satisfaction before tearing her eyes away and to her console, bringing a hand up, she brought it close to her face, a quick gesture and a sharp ping of her communications rang out, followed soon after by a slight change in the course of her fleet

Another ping, Resolute glanced down at her console, frowning as she read the report. Looking up she tracked the sleek gray form of a dozen Albatross performing CAP, their wings slicing through the heavy winds as they circled above her fleet. She knew their sensors were sharp, their electronics fitted with the latest technology her Harbor could muster, as such she trusted their ability to keep watch over their surroundings.

But the report on her console made her uneasy. She knew that the enemy fleet was somewhere out there, lurking in the storm, their baleful eyes and jagged bows plowing piercing through the storm waiting for an opportunity to strike. She had to stay alert and be ready to react quickly, especially with their lines stretched so thin, their disadvantage only compounded by their lack of information.

Their only reliable source of knowledge being the expeditionary fleet who were not focused on even gathering intel about the enemy.

Resolute turned to her second in command, the light cruiser a dozen or so meters south-west of her position, and spoke, her voice only just loud enough to pierce the howling winds, "Constellation, we turn back, contact Liberator and inform her that we'll be circling back to Area 12, I want planes over that area before we arrive."

Constellations nodded and turned to the rest of the fleet, a series of orders followed and soon after the fleet has changed its course, the waves now crashing into their starboard side as they made haste towards their new destination.

----------------------

The plane sliced through the air it's peaked front and swept wings easily cutting through the dark stormy clouds, it's jets pushing it at a ear popping speed of 2000kph, underslung it's carriage and wings, enough explosive to level a village back to the stone age, 8 1000 pound High Explosive bombs, 2 anti-air missiles, and 4 anti-ship Cruise Rockets

But the plane isn't here to destroy a target, in fact it's here to find one, Radar suites and sensor arrays crammed into the plane's interior work tirelessly, scanning the vast ocean below, and the seemingly unending storm, a kilometer away from it, another plane, the same model as it is, searches in tandem.

The plane tilts, banking to the left as it dives, decreasing altitude and scanning the seas, a quick radar sweep, and the plane again noses up, going above the sea of clouds once more to hide, no luck just yet.

.... No, contact North-West, the radar suite having spun another time, spots as blip just before the plane reaches its cruising altitude, another scan confirms.

Banking left once more, the fighter dove, reducing its speed to a mere 1000kph, the plane's systems alert the central control network, and no sooner, a squadron of 15 planes turn to support.

The plane knowing more accurate data is needed continue on high resolution cameras pointing at the blip's direction, as it continues to decrease altitude.
