Tommy stayed up all night. Turns out that nap in the bathtub was better than he thought it was (ignoring the fact he could've fucking drowned) and it left him not even close to being tired.

He'd been staring up at his ceiling when Dream began banging on his door saying, "Thomathy! Get changed and bring your stuff down!" Tommy sighed before sitting up and going through the bag that held the clothes Dream bought him. It consisted of a dark green hoodie, some generic socks and shoes, and some dark blue jeans.

He pulled the clothes he was wearing off and put the new ones on. They were cheap (obviously, Dream is a cheap bastard) but were much more comfortable than the ones he was wearing before.

He then grabbed his sleeping bag bed along with his other clothes and stuffed it in a bag he found in his room.

The door wasn't locked again. Dream probably left it unlocked because they were moving and couldn't have the movers seeing he locked a thirteen-year-old in a closet.

He picked up his bag with his stuff and opened his door. Immediately, he noticed that some noise was coming from outside. Most likely the movers.

Thinking about it now, why were the movers outside? Tommy had assumed that Dream would be taking the same shitty furniture with them. He did know that there was a big shed outside, but he'd never thought the furniture was in there. Maybe that's why they were outside.

He moved towards the stairs and dragged his bag down with him. Dream was in the kitchen looking out the back window at the movers. They were taking furniture from the garage and into a large truck.

He turned to look at Tommy when he heard the second the last stair creak. Dream wasn't wearing his usual porcelain mask. He was instead wearing a face mask that covered his lower face.

Dream walked up to Tommy, held his shoulders, and leaned down to be next to his ear.

He whispered, "Remember the rules Thomathy. If you break one you know what happens. Do you understand?"

Tommy nodded. This seemed to annoy Dream because he tightened his hold on Tommy's shoulders, digging his nails into them. That was sure to leave a bruise.

"Use your words." He said sternly.
"I understand," Tommy responded.

Finally, Dream let go of his shoulders and stood up, "We should go put your bag in the car now, let's go."

He moved past Tommy and through the living room, Tommy followed. Dream unlocked the front door and headed down the driveway, where his car was waiting at the bottom.

The car was white and was the sort of small car your grandparents would own. (Further proving Tommy's theory that Dream is broke.) It looked like it was on its last leg and would break if someone hit it a little too hard.

Dream lifted the trunk open and took Tommy's bag from him to put into it. Looking into the trunk, Tommy saw three other bags, he figured these bags were Dream's and held his belongings.

Tommy jumped at the sound of the trunk slamming shut. Dream turned to him and told him to sit in the car while he went to talk with the movers.

As Tommy watched Dream walk back up the driveway, he thought of opening the car door and booking it down the sidewalk as soon as Dream was out of his sight and going behind the house. His hopes were immediately destroyed when he tried to open the door and found it locked. When had Dream done that?

Tommy was sitting in the back which just made it harder to make his escape. Dream didn't let him sit in the front because that's where all the controls for locking and unlocking the car were.

As he looked at the doors on either side of him, he noticed that the usual manual ways to unlock the car doors were removed. Of course. Dream probably anticipated Tommy trying to unlock the car to get away from him, so he removed manual unlocking. Tommy also knew without even checking, that the car was child-locked.

He couldn't even reach the buttons in the front of the car to unlock it because Dream had some plastic shield thing blocking the front of the car from the back. The sort of thing most taxi drivers have.

So, Tommy accepted his fate and waited for Dream to come back.

When he did come back, he didn't say anything to Tommy, he simply started the car and began to drive.

After about an hour passed and they were on the highway, Tommy began to feel hungry. Those three days of not eating were catching up to him, and his stomach now both hurt and was making ungodly growling noises.

Dream either didn't hear the noises or didn't care enough to acknowledge them.

So that left Tommy with two options: starve to fucking death, or break a rule to ask Dream to buy him some McDonalds.

He quickly decided that he didn't want to starve to death, so he would just ask a question and deal with the consequences later.

Tommy mustered up some courage before asking, "Dream, can we get some McDonalds?" Dream glanced at him through the rearview mirror before replying "Yes."

This made Tommy nervous. Why wasn't he mentioning the rule he broke? Did he forget? Tommy could only hope he did.

After a bit more time on the highway, Dream pulled over to a McDonald's and went through the drive-through. (He only got Tommy six-piece chicken nuggets, medium fries, and some water) Before getting back on the highway.

As Tommy ate, his anxiety rose. There was no way Dream had forgotten. Did he poison his food? Decided to finally get rid of him? This idea made him feel sick, but he finished his food anyway. It didn't help much, just made him feel more nauseous.

In an effort to soothe the nausea, he watched the other cars, trees, and buildings fly by his window until he didn't feel nauseous and began to feel tired.

Apparently, not sleeping all night made him pretty tired, it didn't help that being in the car put him right to sleep. He tried to fight the sleepiness but gave up when his eyelids felt too heavy to hold open. So he closed his eyes and leaned his head on the cold window.
