11 months later

"What do you want for your second birthday mango" I ask him as were sat in a cafe on the outskirts of London. Spring was coming however there weather was still cold, we were both wrapped up well. Anna was inside ordering for us. The past couple weeks we had been stressed at work and decided we needed something to cheer us up.

"Puppy" Theo said lifting his plastic car up, his grin across his face. He had been spending time with Lydia and Richard a lot more recently when i've had to work more and has become attached to their golden retriever.

"Yeah mummy let's get a puppy, please" Anna begged behind me, god two against one.

"But puppy's are a lot of work Theodore what else do you want." I say, cutting up his muffin and putting it in front of him to eat.

"A puppy" he said again reaching towards the baked good. I swung my head over to Anna, she had been going on about getting a dog for the past year now.

"I blame you" I say to her, taking my coffee off the tray.

"Normally you get a dog before a baby but I guess you decided you wanted to swap that around. Mum and dad have said they can look after the puppy when we're away or something" Anna said pouting. I mean she is right, her parents are life savers and are big in our lives.

"What breed are you thinking" I ask, the bitter taste of the coffee invading my mouth.

"A sausage dog" she replies taking out her phone and looking on Pinterest. "They're small, friendly, easy going and are really good dogs." Anna carried on showing me pictures of the puppies. They were adorable and I could feel myself leaning towards agreeing.

"I'm not sure, I have my hands full with Theo" I mumble, even though Theo was such an amazing little boy and Anna was helping a lot we had been working overtime due to high profile clients.

"Work is dying down and I can help more now I won't be at the office 6 days a week so I'll be home more" Anna reasons.

"Screw it, okay" I say looking at Theo with a smile.

"Yay auntie Anna got us a puppy mango!" Anna celebrates holding out her hand to Theo for a high five. He giggles back at us giving Anna a high five.

"I love puppies mummy, thank you" Theo says his smile making me smile.

"But you have to be a really good boy, clean your room and always say your please and thankyou's" I say to him he nods in agreement. "You too Anna" I laugh out, she sticks her tongue out at me and Theo copies.

"So how's the new man" I ask Anna as I watch the busy streets of London.

"It's going well, his names James. Tall and blonde, normally I don't go for blondes and maybe thats what ive been doing wrong" Anna replies smiling.

"How did you meet again" I question, finishing off my coffee.

"Funny story, he spilt his tea all over my new jacket, the one that I got from Zara. I was pretty pissed off and he helped me clean it. He gave me his number and said he would buy me a new one. We've been texting since then and he is the nicest guy i've ever met. We're going out for dinner tomorrow, a date." Anna tells me, as I clean up Theo. I turn my phone on to his favourite movie and place it in front of him.

"That sounds good, does he live in London?" I say as I get Theo his smoothie. I open it up and hand him the squeeze pouch.

"He travels a lot for work but when he has time off he's just outside of London." Anna takes a slice of the lemon cake off the tray and has a bite.
